- I would like to start
this off with a stupid fact and a stupid phrase. My cousin knows an electrician(I think), and his name is Doug. She also has kids. They call the electrician "Aunt Doug." Why? Because he is gay.
Quite sad and very stupid.
Stupid -yet it has a good point- phrase:
"God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!"
Okay. Now on to serious points. First of all, it does not make sense to be gay. It is not hereditary(some people think it is, LOL), and if you believe in evolution, it makes even less sense. If it were hereditary, there would be no way to transfer the "gay gene" unless he got confused and got in the wrong bed. If you believe in evolution, the point to an organism is to excell. Homosexuality is actually harmful to the body and in fact would be a downgrade. Honestly, if you could not procreate wouldn't that be bad for the future of your race? And was not homosexuality the root from which we now have AIDs? [formerly known as GRIDD, Gay-related Immuno-deficiency Disease(right?)] That sounds like it is as obvious as a monkey on your face.
Another fact I must put forth is that being gay is a "preference," a choice if you will; not an "orientation," or something that they cannot help because it is who they are.
Some various reasons I can figure as to why people are "gay":
1. Socially insecure or immature. People that always spend their time with the same sex growing up sometimes never take the step to learn about the opposite sex (which is ultimately a lack of confidence) and that leads to them being somewhat afraid of interaction with what they do not know. This is a social immaturity; this is not something that can be born with, this is purely mental through the way the kid has developed and trained his brain to be.
2. Convinced of being that way. One can be convinced several ways. He might think that he is by how he acts or how others act with him. Anything sexual can arouse either gender. When people are aroused by the same sex they think they are gay, but they are gay only if they stress and explore it. Another way is other people's influence. Parents that do not see a "macho" side of a man might call him a wimp, gay, or a wuss. Dwelling on it will eventually ruin the poor kid.
3. Wanting to stand out. Everyone is unique, just some people are more willing to show it. People try to be "in" and "cool." Other don't try, some thinking, "There's nothing special about me." A form of standing out is doing wrong, some people like the idea anarchy, which is why there 'bad boys.' People generally know that homosexuality is wrong, but those who speak up are thought as closed minded. Those who don't are known as open minded and are commonly said to be allowing someone to express themselves. This silence from speaking on what is right and wrong has created an environment that has made it okay to do whatever they want - as long as they have not overstepped the bounds completly. The bounds will continue to be stretched because there will always be an increasing number of people that are not willing to stand up for what is right.. Expressing oneself is a form of standing out. Artists, orators, politicians, preachers, criminals, gays - these are all types of people that express themselves, but only some are right and all of them require a lot of confidence. Some gain confidence the right way others not. Finally, "Coming out of the closet" is a late attempt to overcome a lack of confidence with no easy alternatives. It's that simple.
4. They are being handed over to sin. They cannot explain it, no one can. Some people are prone to lying, for example. Anyone that does not have the Holy Spirit cannot help but do what the flesh desires -- sin.
Why do people defend gays?
1. Because they want to side with the underdog, although some don't know it or care, they are on the wrong side of the argument.
2. Mankind tends to be against God, it is easiest to not do what is right most of the time.
3. They have not read this page yet. Which is possibly from lack of spreading the good news about this great new site. (a jest... or is it?)
4. They don't want to offend their friend, who happens to be gay or is biased in favor of gay rights.
5. I'm not sure. Fill your reason here. This might also serve as a "all of the above" category.
Why should anyone oppose gay marriage?
Along with the rest of this page, it should be clear by now that being gay is wrong. But to further my point, in allowing gays to be married we are even further declaring in our utter silence that our apathy for righteousness is growing. Can you imagine the emotional, physical, mental, and pyschological trauma that a kid will acquire growing up in a home with two same-sex adoptive parents? The problems would be endless! And the kids would endure years and years of social disgrace for something they had no control of. Also, somehow gays think that having sexual relations with another human being requires to be married (which is true) even though they forget that the relationship is wrong in the first place! These thoughts create the idea that they need to be married, but marriage was originally meant for a man and a woman to become one flesh spiritually. Was not marriage instituted by God; and was it not God that mention that homosexuality is a sin? The answer to both is yes.

Romans 1:
- 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. (which states that not only is it wrong, but it is not natural. They are not born with it.)
Genesis 13:
- 13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the LORD. (which states their way of life)
Genesis 19:
- [4] Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom-both young and old-surrounded the house. [5] They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." [6] Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him [7] and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing. [8] Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don't do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof." [9] "Get out of our way," they replied. And they said, "This fellow came here as an alien, and now he wants to play the judge! We'll treat you worse than them." They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door. (it would've been better for the men to have slept with some girls (virgins) that they were not married to, than to have some same-sex intercourse.)
