your_2cents: Rob's thoughts on Denominations E-mail: click to e-mail him Denominations are wrong I believe because it is the direct break from Christ's original Church. According to Luke 1:28, the original translation comes from the word "Kecharitomene" which means "Hail, having been fully graced" And also if Jesus, God, was to be born, how could he be born into someone with sin? However, why not have a human born without sin, so that God may be born into them? On Transubstantiation, Christ says in Luke 22"14-20 "This IS my body...This IS my blood" He did not say they were symbols of what he was, but it was truly Jesus which is again stated in I Corinthians 11:23-30. The faith isn't something that should change for you, if Jesus Christ himself said "This IS my body and blood" who are we to say it isn't? And to say it is a parable, that could be true, except when Jesus tells parables, he ALWAYS has explained their meaning, however there was no explanation for this, for it was what he said and what he meant, not to be interpretted. The Holy Father is the head of Christ's original church. As said in I Timothy 3:15 he says "But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth." Therefore making the Pope directly the head of the Church of the "foundation of truth" and if you had done your research correct, rather than hearing it from a history book, you would realize that indulgence of sin's can't be obtained by money any more, that was done away with years ago, but only by such things as Consecrations to the Sacred Heart of Jesus or other devotionals, with Scriptural readings, I should know, I've done it twice. John 21:25 says "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written" and in I Corinthians 11:1-2 "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold fast to the traditions, just as I handed them on to you" Therefore disproving one of the pillars of Sola Scriptura, because it CLEARLY states that Christ did many things not written in the bible, but seeing that Protestant bibles have books removed from the original bible, it may not appear in yours, seeing how if theres no problem taking away a book, well whats one line? If you want proof of their existance search the internet or look at the original Jerusalem bible, not edited from it's original translation. Oh and if you look at the Kosher Laws and then the ones told to Peter while he is at Cornelius' house, you'll see fish isn't considered a meat. |
