comment: To start, I would like to say you got big ones to put all of your thoughts on this site. I personally don't think it is right to go to war and kill. Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself. The Bible also says that we will be held accountable for spreading the Gospel. So killing someone would be doing the opposite of that.
There is the argument that if nobody fought, then our country would be taken over. I believe that if everyone was a Christian, then we could all pray and nothing would even come close to touching us. (Prayer is amazingly powerful) Just look at the Jews. Because of their prayer, God sent an angel out to destroy their enemy in many cases. Over 100,000 people one time. Anyways, just some thoughts. I'm up late and I'm bored.
Oh, by the way I am 23 and I have been a Christian for about 3 years and 4 months. I really enjoyed the site. It's good to know that there are others who are standing up for Christ.

comment: I belive war is a tarible thing. However killing someone your
goverment has sent you to kill as part of a war is not murder. If all
murder was is killing then why was that angel not sinning? Or why were
several kings in the old testament punished for not completly wipeing
out a people group includeing helpless kids!
Also great leaders on both sides of the civil war were christions who
belived God was on there side the south for the defence of there homes
and economic welfair and the north for human rights. Both Lee and Grant
were men of faith. Praying came as natural as eating and both prayed to
win!
So I would say that even great christions not just hypocritic
christions but great ones can find resons to kill each other. That is part of
our fallen nature.
Also if we had not fought the country would be taken over several times
by now some times by christions some times by heathens. War is not
going anywere as tarible as it is. True God can protect us but if God was
interested in christions doing nothing while he ownaged all over the bad
guys why did he have all those kings in the old testament killing and
fighting all the time? He only intervend when they were going to lose.

Thanks for the feedback, your the first! It is awesome to hear that you are following God. I put this site together so I could stand for God... and I appreciate your input. See, the site is partly used to acquire Truth. Plus, this site doesn't take big ones. Saying our beliefs in person and with a lifestyle does. I want both to be seen in Christ's body - and it needs to start somewhere. By the way, how did you find my site? Another site link to it? Google?
On war: God calls for war in many circumstances. Many of them where He tells the Jews to kill everyone and their cattle. And we thought that the Germans were wrong for genocide. Plus, Solomon said that there is a time for peace and a time for war. He was the wisest man on earth.
I believe that we can go to war with a nation in still be in God's will. We should already be witnessing to them in the first place. And if we aren't, then which is worse? A war in which we kill pagans, or us not fulfilling the great commission?
The argument that if everyone didn't fight, the nation would be lost. Well, in a way it is realistic to think that we will all not be christians. Jesus said that there will be many that will not accept His word... and we are to continue elsewhere. While it is an excellent hope to have everyone be a christian, and us never fighting... but it will *never* happen on earth. Even christians fight!
The power of prayer is indeed awesome and greater than we can imagine, but... the angel that killed all those men... wouldn't that be considered a battle? And in battles... they make up wars?
I don't think we should be at war with everyone, or anyone, all the time. But when sin arises, we need to snuff it out if they will not repent. And war is sometimes required for God's word to be spread.
