Communism: Okay, this one is kinda brief. Personally, I cannot think of any good reason to have communism or any other form of socialism a part of any government structure. Under socialistic practices, work ethic is NOT rewarded to a personal extent. Why not? Because everything you earn is given in part or wholly to the government. Sure some may be sent back to you, but only if you qualify for it. If you do not work, have a low paying job, or work very little, you are paid according to your financial need. That means that you do not have to work a single day of your life, theoretically. Others, then, will be working only to have the government give to those who don't work. And, of course, if you work hard, harder than everyone else (or at least have more money than everyone else), the socialistic government can give you less or take away. Why did this ideology come into practice? Because a group of influentual people thought that if everyone does not have the same money, it is not fair. If you got a little more or less per month that you didn't have to change your spending habits or anything when you do not work as hard, wouldn't that make you not think working is worth it? Then why work? I'll be honest. I would not work if I didn't have to, would you? Further still, social programs will spend money (yes, your hard earned money) on whatever they want. We are lucky that we do not have a completely socialistic government, otherwise they would not even have us vote on what to spend it on. If we did, however, they would spend it on whatever whim they come up with day to day. Reply to this rant/essay/thing: |
