![]() ![]() Q51: Aside from that, I have most of the maps started for my first world. After I had them all layed out, I was going to add the sprites, switches and critters. Is that how you usually do it? Well, I am still having fun, and getting good at using the clip board to do some things (such as replicate specific buildings (inns, weapon shops, ect) and making some nifty levels/maps. Should I just go into suzi's quest and instead of playing it, take a look at how you set up switches? (can i do that without erasing them?) |

![]() ![]() A51: Greets WrenP: Usually I add Tiles first, then Switches, then Sprites, and lastly Critters. However, you can take it any angle you like. SuziQ does have a lot of examples in it ! I'll add more examples to it with the new release as well and detail the changes. Once again, all good questions, but seriously, please send me a copy of what you got ! I'm itching with curiousity and I may be able to detect and repair pitfalls in your Worldbuilding and programming before you snag into them. If you need a copy of PKZIP, I can send it to you so you can binary attach it to me. I won't post it in the Download Station though until you are ready and I will always send back to you any repairs or suggested changes I make. This applies to the rest of you too. If I have a copy of your world, I can better understand your questions and will be able to fix and send them back to you myself. You are still welcome to promote and sell your worlds on your own. I just want to try some them out and further my own education into what is needed in a good RPGMaker. ![]() (Since the posting of his world, I have learned many things and a lot of progress and new ideas and features are thanks to his sharing his world so I can see the mechanics behind what is needed in Scenario to make excellent RPGs such as his own). ![]() |

![]() ![]() (Maan just when I was getting use to you being NinjaGirl!) ![]() Q52: how do i make it so i can make a warp from one map to the next so i can change the music when you enter it? Q53: can i fight a sprite(cyborg, rival hero, ect)? |
||||||||||||||||
![]() ![]() A52: Greets ChUcK: Warps are pretty easy to do. To warp from one map to another can be done with a few keystrokes. Press [ENTER], select Warp, Invisible, Location. And then use the arrow keys to go where you want ! To change maps easily, press "[" and "]" (the square brackets minus the shift key). Just about anything you can do in the Main Menu you can do with a few keystrokes as well cause I'm lazy like that. ![]() When you find a good spot, press [ENTER] again, usually answer NO to the next question, to make a return warp (as it copies the tile underneath as well), and then it jumps back where you were. The music change is automatic when you enter the new map. A53: Not easily.. I have made an example in the "Answers" world where a Sprite transforms into a critter, but as it is a very high level critter, it's not too useful.. You'll have to wait until you can have custom critter classes in Sprite Messenger pages. You can download the Answers World by clicking HERE. "YOU TELL ME" is now up ! You can get to it by clicking HERE ! ![]() |

![]() ![]() Q54: keeps telling me a need a landing pad. |
||||||||||||||||
![]() ![]() A54: Greets WrenP: The Airship can only be landed on a "Landing Pad" and can only be flown on Map #0 (1st map) Outside. The Landing pad is just the Tile #63, "CastleFloor" which looks like this: ![]() Plot that anywhere you want a "Landing Pad" for the Outside map, but try to restrict their number as usage of the Airship is supposed to be a special thing indeed so you can only land in certain areas and the player is forced to travel by foot into new territories. ![]() (Current Scenario no longer uses a landing pad for the Airship - just land on any flat surface like Grass, DirtFloor, CastleFloor, Flowers, etc.) ![]() |

![]() Q55: ive created a game and i wanted to see if you liked it how could i get ti to you if you except them^_^ ps this program rock |
||||||||||||||||
![]() ![]() A55: Greets crono: Hey ! That's great, very glad for you ! To upload a world, you will need to use PKZIP or WinZip. If you haven't used either, click HERE to download WinZip. Follow the instructions. If you do know how to zip up a file, go ahead and do so, then click in HERE and using your default mail program, BINARY ATTACH it as a PKZIP file with a ".ZIP" extension. If you're not sure how, get some help from someone close to you. I'll look it over and - chances are pretty good I'll like it - post it in the Worlds area for you so everyone else can get a chance to download it. ![]() |

![]() ![]() Q56: does the shadow command work? If so, can i use it to have npc's follow other npc's out of the view area during a sprite/switch effect? Q57: is there a way to make the sphere glow stop? would it be as simple as just putting the glow icon followed by the terminate icon? Q58: do you have to use 320x224 bitmaps for them to be displayed during the sprite message with your picture command? Q59: I want to become the switch/sprite ninja! |
||||||||||||||||
![]() ![]() A56: Greets WrenP: Shadow command works.. It's like a dark spirit sorta.. Look to SuziQ at 03:05/22 at the Sprite Sisters Example. Notice that Shadow jumps from one to the next. It "possesses" any new Sprite or Tiles. When it moves it is instant, no delay time like it is walking. Another Shadow example is at: 01:08/12, look at the Chest there and a secret passage from the Throne will open. Once again Shadow in use. If/When I get the BeeLine to work, the camera will go to the new location of multi-arrow strokes. It won't do diags or straight only but go half 16 degrees etc. to get somewhere, follows ANGLE of destination exactly.. I saw this in "Lufia" for SNES intro and thought it was neat. A57: Yeeph !! I didn't expect anyone to use my GlowSphere so soon ! It's not perfected, and I only made it a "command" so I could easily make a SaveSpot script. The version you have doesn't have a way to stop the Glow Sphere, and.. It only shows a glow in the center of the screen, not on a select NPC for instance.. I made a "crude" stop Glow. Use "." (period) instead of a letter after it to make it go away for ![]() You might as well know, the letter after it lowercase "a" - "p" tells which color to use. Here are the colors briefly:
You notice that these
letters correspond with the |

![]() ![]() Q60: YA know, I am having trouble finding the files so that I replace the sprites. I like yours just fine but I just have a problem relating to them. Could you maybe tell me what folder to look in? (by the way I love your program) (Glad ya like it!) |
||||||||||||||||
![]() ![]() A60: Greets goth child: Hey, glad you like my program ! Let's see your world creation before too long. I'm already looking over 2 other Worldbuilders' worlds and very impressed at the creativity and energy put into them ! ![]() Remember that the ".SPR" files inside of \REALM\ are NOT picture files, they are simple text files to tell the Sprite Messenger what to do. The only actual pictures files in ![]() ![]() HERE. ![]() |
