Q31: I can't see the "Answers" download! can you please just answer a question for me? How do you make it so you have to complete a task before being able to move on? Like the Find-shovel example?

A32: To "get" more unnamed maps, that is, you want to erase them ? You can either download the "Blank" world by clicking HERE which gives you 16 completely blank maps for total creation, or to erase any of the 16 available for any world file, from the Main Menu in , select Map and Erase. Be careful ! Once a map has been cleared of data, it cannot be recovered later !

If you need more then 16 maps, I'm sorry, that's all there is for now ! Like early Worldbuilders in Dante 2, you can place other maps just out of visible range of your primary maps on other pages for storage, or you are welcome to build more then one world file like for saga and Episode type games. There are indeed Worldbuilders checking out my entire command set !
You found one I haven't done anything with yet !
When it works, it will do just that, tremble the Focus for a bit. If it's the Camera, Earthquake !
This will be a bit different then JUMP (on the camera which doesn't do anything yet), which will do a THOOM effect.. I'll notify when it's active and since someone found out about this dead command, I'll make that first priority. Won't be hard to write.

Q35: In the further version of the Scenario RPGMAKER,will you also list all
sound effects available in the Scenario? I can't use them by Sprite Messenger because I don't know their names.

Q36: Would it be possible for us to find a place to share our sprites, music files, gifs and other elements that can be imported to senario? This way those starting off can have a place to find possible elements without those darn broken links. :) Just an idea.

I would very much like others to have a common and always available area to get a chance to enjoy all the add-ons I've provided and optionally include their own, especially if they are original works.

It comes down to webhosting again.. I tried to get hosted earlier and I got back a lot of fiery Email from other sites that "didn't make the cut" when I selected a different one that "did."

If it can be done with a minimum of fuss, you are welcome to suggest any and all FTP sites that would allow this. If someone does want to try hosting again, that's fine, but PLEASE don't do it just to compete against another neighboring RPGMaker site !

never was intended to compete against those already out there, and certainly I don't want to be considered "mean" or insensitive for not selecting a different "host."

While realistically it is impossible for me to maintain more then website (I keep busy enough on just this one!) , at an emotional level, this may not be understood by those that didn't get a chance to host .

I would need, like before, domain access; not redirection, 100% 24-hour available personal FTP so I can upload any and all of my files at any time. (Sometimes I work till 3am on this stuff so it really does need to be 24-hour, not sparse like other times). Also, NO POP UPS
and no notices from the server that bandwidth was exceeded so it will be shut down for a MONTH !


Most other websites are this way, but not
Geocities, which is why I am with them. That plus the fact I started out with them. They're pretty nice webproviders at that and I recommend anyone starting out with a website should give them a try ! geocities.com

While pop-ups may be good and well for a lot of other fine RPGMaker sites out there that are expecting expert web-users, not all of us can hit that [CTRL]-F4 key fast enough for a pop-up window or are too naeve to not click on something that installs truly terrible things in your browser and/or demands your credit card number just to GO AWAY. I don't want to be known for a site that has any pop-up windows or that kind of hassle.

The kind of people I want localing my site, while you aged veterans and outright experts are very welcome here, this site also needs to be for the VERY new to RPGMakers to the point they may not know even how to download a file or use WinZip.. I'd like to be there for them because I believe
there is untapped potential creative energy in everyone despite their background in computers and/or the internet. Part of the tutorial I will be building later will explain how to download files and unzip them for those of you out there who are still not sure how to do this. (Gentle Smile)

My Dad had some good advice when I was putting together years ago. He said instead of forcing other Worldbuilders to write down a ton of information and commands like other systems, why not use COMPONENTS instead ? Well, that's just what does !

To create a "store" that sells Potions & Miracles, just place this Tile up/down/left/ or right from any sprite of any kind that is either a critter or a person. A true critter doesn't count as a "merchant" since that one will attack ya ! but you can use a critter image for a Sprite !
This is the Inn, here you can get a room for the night at a cost.
To have this work, just have any Sprite one step from this tile.
This is the Items Shop, here you can buy LO and HI potions as
well as the mysterious Miracle Talisman that recovers all hits in combat.
This is the Weapons Forge. Here you can forge your current weapon
into a stronger one. The cost goes up exponentially.
This is the Armor Smithy. Here you can have your current armor
hammered and smithed into a stronger one. The cost also goes up.
This is the Runestone Shop. Here you can purchase any of the combat
Fire, Ice, or Bolt Runestones but note the price goes up the more you have !
This is the healing Angel Statue. Touch it and all your cares - -ahmm. HITS
will be recovered.
This is the useful Save Spot. Touch it and a protective force field envelops
the player giving them a chance to save their progress in a game file.

The merchant tiles (the first 5) will only activate after any sprite messages have happened.
If there aren't any, then the merchant appears immediately and remember, you must have any sprite one space from the Merchant Tile and you are not talking to the Merchant Tile, but the Sprite or merchant next to that key-tile.

The Angel Statue and Save Spot are only active provided they do not have the hidden flag set and also are not inactive from use of a switch.

Look to Suzi's Quest at map #01 (2nd map) at position 13(x/y)21 to see the Inn Sign.
Since there is a Sprite nearby (and it doesn't have to have a sprite message attached to it).
Once the Sprite Message (if any) finishes, then it will enter Merchant Mode automatically.

Another example is at map #02 (3rd map) at position 04(x/y)04 to see the Item Sign.
If you can't see it, hit the "S" key to switch the state of that tile. Ah ! There it is, and yes, you can "couch" and hide Merchant Tiles as well as Sprites this way with switches.

My Dad said instead of having all of these complex things where the Worldbuilder has to fuss with them like in other RPGMakers. why not have just the COMPONENTS of them, that is, just the BARE essentials to make up a RPG.

He asked me - what are the BARE COMPONENTS I felt were needed in a RPG ?

And that to me, of course was Storystuff, Nice Music, Quick Combat, Merchants, and Itemstuff. A much easier way to build RPGs then having to mess with all of the item and property flags yourself like other RPGMakers. The prices and selection are auto-computed and auto-recorded so you don't have to mess with any numbers or tables whatsoever. This may be considered limiting in some ways, but a much easier way to build RPGs by far, and I haven't seen this done in other systems.

There are multiple requests however, to fudge the number table on Critters so I will allow for this in V0.092d+ release in January.

Q38: Another suggestion(^_^)!In the next version,can upgrade the camera so it can view from map to map(For example:A talks to B.B tells the story[change camera to another place] and bla,bla,bla,finaaly when back to the original place[return the camera to the original position].This will make the story more tastier!(I never forget to include Chilli sauce on the dining table.)(^_^)

Q39: I have another suggestion. Can you make a command that make the slowly
darkened(Like sleeping.) That will affect the game greatly.

Q40: My hero in the game said he hated it when he had to scream like a girl when running away!How can I correct it?

I think it does this already.
Look to the camera snap example at map #04 (5th map) at position 16(x/y)06 .
Look at the pillar there. The camera will snap to a new position and show animation
occur. Until you move the camera back it will stay -ahhm- lost..

Also, get the Remote Controller from under the pillow at
map #04 (5th map) at position 34(x/y)02,
talk to the Little Girl at
map #04 (5th map) at position 34(x/y)05 .
She will pan the camera to show a secret passage opening.

A39: I had this in earlier that was deep animation only but no substance. You could slowly tint the screen to Red, Green, Blue,or Black and optionally tint the Sprites to a new hue, or maintain them while the background faded (like a spell is being cast).

A40: He did, did he ? Where is his inner feminine side ?? Personally I love to hear a girl scream, ahhm.. Preferably in embarassment. (Yes I watch waaay too many Anime videos!)
To answer your question, however:
Create an empty Notepad file called "runaway.wav" inside your \REALM\ directory. It will use that one instead of the default. Of course you are very welcome to copy any .WAV file you want inside \REALM\ to replace that audio effect.
