![]() Q21: Hey its Paul again! hey thanx for answering mi qeustion. I do not know how to open file through scenario. Anyways here is mi next qeustion: How do you get a bigger building range. I want to build worlds but its almost like i don't have enough room i am buliding everything as compact as i can. anyways i was thinking can u take and build two worlds and intertwine them and make it that way. Like take and make lots of warp panels? I don't know. anyways thanx again. Paul Q22: P.S. Can you send an download to my friend midgetboy_88@yahoo.com ? he would really apprecite it. Thanx. |
![]() ![]() A21: Greets Paul: Wow ! This is indeed good news to hear. You're running out of room building ? You just gotta send me a copy of your game so I can play it ! ![]() Seriously though, you are running out of room with 16 maps at 63x63 cels in size ? You can use some of the Helper Grids to fine-tune your rooms and creations. You can only see these helper grids if you are viewing the map in any size except default full-view. Some of the original Dante RPG2E Worldbuilders had the same problems in running out of map space and made their saga in chapters. That is, you create more then one world file and only get to play the 2nd one after you've finished the first. The way the Worldbuilders for Dante upgraded the character for chapters following the first was to give the player higher values and starting level in the 2nd and 3rd chapters of their saga RPGs. A22: I just sent a copy via binary attachment in EMail to MidgetBoy. In time maybe we can see him ask some good questions like yours in here too. I just received this message from Yahoo in sending Scenario to: midgetboy_88@yahoo.com Unable to deliver message ![]() This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account If there is a different Email account for him, I can send it there. ![]() |
![]() ![]() (Persona #16 is in use by Cinco DC, auto-selecting the next available for you!) Q23: I was browsing through the screenshots, and I found that the combat system looked even worse than rpgmaker2000's. I am not trying to critisize, only point out a flaw. My question is, will you be able to make it more visually pleasing (the battles look compacted to a box)? Why not allow players the libery of being able to customize the combat system themselves. For example, I'd love to be able to create a combat system like Saga Frontier II, Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy, or Seiken Densetsu. The default combat system seems rather outdated, and inadequate to someone who would want to use your program to create something awsome. |
![]() ![]() A23: Greets Leviiathan: You need to understand that I am just one ![]() ![]() Regarding your comments of wanting to create something awesome in my ![]() you betcha ! I'll be looking forward to trying out your creations when you've got them presentable and feel free to call on me for any worldbuilding assistance ! That goes out to the rest of you as well. ![]() I'll be asking some important questions in a new area I'll open later called You Tell Me so your feedback in there will help shape ![]() ![]() |
![]() ![]() Q24: Hey its Paul, but it isn't a qeustion. I just wanna tell ye that i think scenario is a good rpg maker. and that you are doing a good job keeping up with all of us people qeustions. other game makers if i have a qeustion they brush me off. but this way i can look at other people qeustions and answers and it can help me with things i can't find in the readme. Anyways i just wanted to tell u are doing a VERY GOOD job. And thanx Again. |
![]() ![]() A24: Greets Paul: Huum.. I can see this is not a question but I don't really have a comment or Feedback field yet. In any case, Thank You ! I do appreciate yours and everyone else's questions and comments (and praise, you betcha!) ! There sure are a bunch of you out there ! Until January rolls around I may need to set it so this page is posted only once every 2 days instead of every 24 hours. I'm making some changes and updates to ![]() ![]() Amongst these immediate ones will be allowing critter data changes ! (I didn't think I'd ever want to do that - ah well), I got pestered enough in Email about it, and this is your ride people, I want ![]() ![]() ![]() |
![]() ![]() Q25: My question makes me look very dumb, but is there any way for you to make a step by step tutorial, either in senario or on your site with step by step explainations (worded for the non programmers, ie me) so we can just get a few tiles and switches and other things under our belts before we go and make a world? Don't get me wrong, I bet as soon as i get an idea how to navigate your menus and get used to the way it is set up, I could use Senario to produce a nifty game. (I have a cool idea, email me at Wrenpheonix@home.com and i will spill my guts, if i cant do it justice, someone should!!) Well, anyway, I just get confused and have a black screen looking at me. If I could get a hand to hold and walk me through the first stages of making a brand spanking new world, it would help. Also, is there anyway to convert midi files or other music files into your game? Thanks for your time in advance, as I know you will probably answer me very soon! :) Thanks again for this neato ! program Topaz! |
![]() ![]() A25: Greets WrenP: Here's a clypse of what's happening. Going to first make YouTellMe, then full tutorial for building a sample world, then update ![]() Not just you but others have Emailed me requesting a lead-by-the-hands tutorial and YES I'm going to write just that for you newbie Worldbuilders ! ![]() To the rest of you, I've also been talking to WrenP about optionally removing a large section of the Sprites (one full page, 7 to be precise), so while you may be cutting down the # of Sprites from 14 to 7, you would gain that storage room to have "statues", that is, how early RPGs where were when they were originally written. I would use 7 of them to include the default other 7 "removed" sprites but add 49 more that you've never seen. I have a large RPG graphic library so don't worry about me not finding enough ! It is possible the positions and images of your Sprites in your world files may need to be adjusted after this change though if it is done. You would meet people, talked and all, set flags, statuses, adjusted items, but they didn't animate, or walk around. A large portion of ![]() ![]() ![]() Give it some serious thought Worldbuilders and write to let me know in YouTellMe when it's complete. ![]() ![]() Also, can someone please tell me how to create a link using "mailto:dw817@myway.com" field where you have something like ";subject=" on the end so it has an auto-subject field when the mail program is entered ? Thanks ! ![]() |
![]() ![]() (Persona #12 is in use by Tristan, auto-selecting the next available for you!) (All persona are reset the first of every new month so grab 'em quick gang!) Q26: as in the beginning of "Suzi's Quest" a story line appears and then the title. How do I do that for my game? Q27: And also, how do I change the hero in the game. It always is the girl. I want the boy. Q28: how do i add a combat backdrop to a battle Q29: how do i change the music for a battle Q30: is there a way to make a cinema during the game? (i.e game play stoping when you enter a area and show a guy running away or talking to someone else) |
![]() ![]() A26: Greets ChUcK: (Phew, that's a lotta questions - this is going to take a-while!) Download the world file, "Answers" . You can get it by clicking HERE. Go to the 2nd mini-world and touch the Tapestry at Map #01 (2nd map), at position 18(x/y)04. This shows a simple title screen. If you want to have your own custom bitmap appear, that's easier and you can find that answered by clicking HERE at Question # 11. A27: What ? You don't like the girls ? ![]() ![]() To answer your question however, you can do it in 3 steps. go to the Main Menu, select Player, Sprite, and then select the new Sprite Image you want for the player. If you want to import a sprite of your own, you can click HERE for an example of that. A28: Combat backdrops are auto-included in ![]() A29: To change music for a battle, you can do it it in 3 steps. Go to the Main Menu, select World, World Music, Combat, and then pick out a new favorite song for combat. The songs are labeled based upon their theme so to begin with, ![]() If you want more then this, or want to import some music of your own, it can be a simple .MID file included inside your \REALM\ directory or you are welcome to use any of my .MDZ special compressed music files. The instructions to both and downloads for Add-Ons of .MDZ as well as usage inside the Sprite Messenger can be found by clicking HERE. A30: To make a custom cinema in ![]() There is another example on map # 01 (2nd map) at position 11(x/y)22. Try to talk to the Innkeeper from here and she will push you back. As with all Sprite Messages, just press [ENTER] in the editor with the cursor on top of the Sprite to see how it was written. In this case, SHE is not the one doing the animation but the Tile next to her so the Sprite Message is actually stored at 12(x/y)22 instead of her exact position of 13(x/y)22 . ![]() |
