We have been invited to participate in the Krewe of Purrus Parade with our own float! Master float builder, Frodo (aka my husband VBG!) will be providing us with a float, by tomorrow or he's in deep caca.
We will be tossing catnip doubloons and fancy beads to the spectators. There is a Grand Prize for Most Enthusiastic Tossers and Best Costumed, so keep that in mind!
If you run a search for Mardi Gras 'things' you can also search under "carnival Brazil" and drag up a few sites. Keep in mind that a lot of these sites have XXX pics posted, so be warned! Also "carnival Venice" will give some sites.

Well the engineer is giving up doing any kind of party recap, as this party is totally out of control and I can barely keep up. LOL! All I can say is that there is quite a collection of assorted floozies, trollops, and hussies and more celebrities aboard than I can count. And where exactly is that kilt joke? Darn, I can't find it. I can't find Mel either, for that matter. Love those Cheez Puffs.
If you haven't already done so, don't forget to sign in on the "passenger list" at the bottom of this page so we know who all is aboard and who all those wayward partying kitties belong to.
Now, about the Estimated Time of Arrival. Well, we have a small problem. This really *is* going to be a train! I currently have 52 packages and envelopes stacked precariously on my dining room table. We have exceeded the maximum allowable box size for shipping, so this train is going to have to go out in two, perhaps 3 maximum size boxes (that's 3 boxes 31" X 31" X 31")!!!! I think I'll have to label the boxes Engine, Party Car & Caboose. This is really going to be something. Jeff & Di have absolutely no idea what is comming down the tracks at them!
We still have some baggage en route, and I don't expect to have all deliveries in until this Thursday or Friday, so it won't be possible to get the train out by Weds for this Friday's arrival.
Trying to expedite the delivery so that this doesn't drag on too long, Mr. Tally & I will try and ship the boxes 2nd day air if its possible, so that Jeff & Di receive them sometime early next week. So party away. Have fun at the Mardi Paw. I have to go and find a costoom.

However, if you really want to do something, you could consider making a contribution to your favorite shelter or vet's office in Tammy & Critter's name. Tammy was a passenger on this train ride, but disembarked on February 11 when she lost her beloved Critter. Her entry, and her e-mail addy is located in the Passenger List between entries 30 & 39. Although she disembarked from the train, her Hug will still be on board with us.
February 23 is National Spay & Neuter Day. Perhaps we can help those shelters prevent a few more needless births, or feed a couple more homeless cats and remember Critter who left us on our journey. For those of you who have already sent me money, I will send Tammy a note letting her know that a contribution was made to the Pet Orphans Fund in Los Angeles.

In light of this development, he would like to offer, for the comfort and pleasure of the passengers of this train, and specifically, to the delight (he hopes) of Sharon the Chambermaid, the hiring of a complete staff that would dedicate themselves, on an on-going basis, to cleaning up the excrement that seems to have accumulated so far.
In place of the ponderous piles of poop, (sorry if I spit saying that line) the cleaning staff will be directed to scatter rose petals and light small amounts of delicate scented incense, for everyone's olfactory pleasure.

popcorn to be used as packing material, figuring it was natural and wouldn't hang around in the environment for a zillion years, like the pelespan pellets do. So anyway, popcorn turned out to be not such a good packaging material because it attracted bugs...you can imagine how enjoyable it would be to unpack a box filled with weevils and popcorn shreds...YUCKO! (sorry for this bit of reality, but stories about packaging materials really knock my socks off!):-)
