UNHOLY ADMURTIA:”COMPILATION TAPE 2004-18 TRAX-RUSSIA (NEW REVIEW) Sometimes when I’ve reviewed some comp. Tapes or cd’s it’s so hard to do a review to me, because I should to do track by track reviews and I should be known about their influences and band roots too and that it’s so bored, and I dislike this, but I’ll doing this review so , let’s start. Here some bands that impressed me: BESTIAL, playing anythings like Death even Black metal stuff. NAZGULUM, they’re playing aggressive black metal. VEDMAK & TENEBRIS bands that play extreme black metal too.REQUIEM USA-death /black metal school. And closing this tape is CADAVER MACERANDUM with his Brutal death/grind metal. The dissapointed was in some band names because they’re writting in russian language. UNHOLY WAR.-ANNIHILATION OF MANKIND’-CD 2003-DEMO-7 TRAX-FRANCE.- This another black metal french band, they’re influenced by older 80’s black metal feelin’. Their proposal is expressed in dark feelin’ and deep sensations, all of this is come back with UNHOLY WAR, this 80’s feelin, speed, black and raw is real!!! MEPHISTO, this guy has played on LORD some years ago, Now he played in this band but still can’t left these black/speed influences of LORD. UNHOLY WAR stroke Us with their music based on acts like SODOM, VIOLENT FORCE, & NECRONOMICON (All cult bands), the guitar riffs are intense, faster drums & typical black/speed voice, Until now only done by SODOM. Listening from ‘The blood from the Ancient battles’, ‘till ‘Ancestral darkness’, punch out to your heart. UNGODLY.-'HATE CELEBRATION'-CD-PROMO-3 TRAX-BRAZIL Violent and rapist black/death metal from BRAZIL, these guys are following the steps from KRISIUM & RAEBELLIUM. Sometimes ago that I don't heard this kind of stuff, it's influenced by great old bands like MORBID ANGEL (the old) mixed with faster drumm and excellent guitar work. Very older sounding and real death/black metal. This is definitely a record that will keep'n your mind forever. So that I said UNGODLY is GODDD!!! UNGODLY, gave Us in this time 'HATE CELEBRATION', this present CD will contain 3 tracks, very guitar riffs conceived. I suppose that influences above mentioned gave you an idea. to add, I believe that you must knowed, the three trax are technical,brutal,well structure, mid-paced, clearly vocals and raw too!!! They do a great job. 'LAYED IN ASHES' & 'HATE CELEBRATION' are simply brutal. The guitar riffs are cool, in fact they're a cool death/black metal into 80's with 2000 sound. Great production, great package and well work!!!all deathbangers should be satisfied. ............................................................................................. 8.5/10 |

VARATHRON - "CROWSREIGN" CD 2004 - 11 TRACKS -GREECE (NEW REVIEW) Perhaps for the lovers of first years of this huge band those that were dazzled with their split with NECROMANTIA will say that the band has lost his dark and force, but I answer them that the work done in this disc is of an exceptional quality. The concept worked by these great musicians does of this an opera prima, a material in the line of the THE MIGHTY CONTRACT, NON SERVIAN of ROTTING CHRIST, Walpurgisnacht and the evolution given by The Lament of Gods. All this mixed gives CROWSREIGN turning it an album that will be cult. It even conserves extreme, fast parts combined with great instrumental parts that do that you must return to listening this CD again and again and again!!! HEMOS OLVIDADO’-CD-R 2006-PERU-7 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW) This is the Cd debut of the PERUVIAN death metal band, released through APURLEC records and it contains As you can see by the name 7 tracks of pure violent death metal, with great technic that I stay wonder & gratefully happiness. The tracks structures has been released under the CHILEAN death metal base and taking care with solid riffs structures which reminds me to old times of CHILEAN godly bands like TORTURER and SADISM (FROM THE PERPETUAL DARK) and a good drum work too. The rhythms are not complex but very well done, the vocals parts are sung in spanish, the fast parts are extremely speed, sometimes turns to be a little monotonous. The best thing here it’s the composition of guitar leads that show me a perfect acomplishement as band.No doubt, a great PERUVIAN revelation. WAY SPLIT’ CD 2005-CHILE-12 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW) The 80’s years still alive!!! This is a masterpiece that comes from the pits of hell!!! Here We can find 3 excellent thrash/black metal bands based on 80’s years, Maybe you can imagine that it's not original but the bands work are extremely well done and they deserve all congratulations to keep the true thrash way alive!!! Well, let’s talk about the first band, they comes from PARAGUAY and sincerely I believe it’s the best!!!These guys are playing like VIOLENT FORCE/OLD DESTRUCTION/PROTECTOR and NECRONOMICON...GREAT!!! I had the chance to saw it alive and I can asure that they’re amazing...please remember the name : VIOLENT ATTACK!!! Hail ESTEBAN!!! The music is very intense, faster and thrashing, it’s shooting directly to your head. Definitely a german feel, it’s not only music, the vocals work goes to sick way too..GREAT!!!The second band comes from COFFEE land and their name is MADYHELL, this band is more focused to 80’s black metal feel, inspired by old VENOM, BULLDOZER and BATHORY bands, they offer Us a great stuff that I so much liked. So I can recommend it, because this band still keepin’ the old black flame. The latest band is ASSAULT that comes from CHILE, it’s another representative band that gave it a special tribute to these golden years of thrash/black metal. Their sound hasn’t any innovative things but these guys know very well how to play their instruments and sound with evil, strenght and rawness feel. I think all in this entire album was ok, great production, excellent art cover, about the sound is poor because this recording were based on demo tapes, but still acceptable...get it now!!!.................................................................................................7.5/10 Frater_dm@hotmail.com |

TIMES’-CD-R 2004-ITALY-6 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW) Another release from the progressive black/thrash band. To be honest I thought that was better done than ‘The Castle Of The Souls’, but still continued with the same bad recording quality. The sound is awful but listenable yet. Well, the musical parts are progressive/jazz/black/thrash metal with good and effective rhythm changes that you’ll taste it. When you listen, sometimes you can get bored, because the intro’s are too large...The tracks were conceived to mid tempo with great melodies that you can say ‘this band is original and experimental, maybe they have got to create a new metal genre...’Who knows??? CASTLE OF THE LOST SOULS’-CD-R-ITALY-4 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW) To all black/thrash people, ITALIAN land is well known for gave Us a great bands as MORTUARY DRAPE, NECRODEATH, SCHIZO, BULLDOZER and DEATH SS, etc. But recently their underground metal was inactive, only I had notice of a few bands as FROSTMOON ECLIPSE even SIGMA DRACONIS, after some years later I receive an ITALIAN package that was contain this band and I notice some strange things; They have got a rare combination between classic/thrash/progressive and black metal, then we have interesting music. At least you can listen a good rhythm changes and strange melodies that you can keep it running through your head for many times. The musical quality is good but the record sounding is awful.. VOBISCUM LUCIFER.-'BATALLAS DE APOSTASIA EN EL REINO DE LA BESTIA'.DEMO-TAPE 2003-COLOMBIA-7 TRACKS I'm so glad to receive this stuff because nowadays the colombian bands are technic and they have an professional sound,but VOBISCUM LUCIFER still keep the flame in the old times that reminds me in these days that I 've listen acts like DEGRADETH,ATANATHOR or MALEFICIO bands.(all of them are Colombian and pagan true metal)Their music is Black metal,raw & simple too ! ! !it's full of great feelin' & violence.the music is not complex,the combination of stronger tracks & instrumental parts are so good too ! ! !The dissapointed is the recorded sound,the mixed is low and poor,but the old spirit are still alive. ................................................................... 7.5/10 |

WORTH:’THE FADING SCENT OF LIFE’-DEMO I 2004- ARGELIA-3 TRAX (NEW REVIEW) Amazing Thrash/heavy metal band.They has got to do a very well work, each trax here is a careful worked it. So structure and riffs conception, also will contain a excellent guitar solo’s of great musical design. I was surprised by their musical quality, it’s a first time that I’ve heard an ARGELIAN band and I enjoy it!!! ‘WRATH OF GAIA’ its a first track, where the musical combination is marvelous & was shinning with owner light, They has combined differents musical paths being the most representative the Thrash/death metal blood. In this track I can recommended that you’ve heard the guitar solo’s. it’s great!!!! ‘TRAPPED’, the second track, is opened by a soft vocals to mid tempo music, here you can find some USA death/thrash metal influences too!!! The thrash essence is very well worked and combined with powerful arragenments and beautiful rhythms and makes his music more elaborated track.I must insist, it’s a great stuff and you must be get it, Now!!!
