MAGGALOTHOMIA.-PROMO CD 2003/2004

Excuse me,but I don't know the Cd tittles tracks,I only know that this band is in the same vein of gore bands like ABORTED,DESPONDENCY and more guttural abortions of this world.The tracks are well structure,violents riffs and good drummer work.The typical screamin' of their vocalist makes you know inmediately that is a great deathgrind band since the beginning to the end.Is a pure holocaust,a short tracks,but I don't to told you that is bad played,maybe is good.Their musical proposal is intense,faster and cruelty riffs.I don't like so much this style but this realese are so good that make you pissed on your paints. ........................................ 7.8/10

MALEDICTUM: “WHEN THE RITUAL OF BLOOD TAKES PLACE”-CD-R 2005-CHILE-4 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW)

Sometime ago that HEADBANGER magazine hasn’t include any band that comes from CHILE. A great scene that I consider as the second best of South america. From  the 87’ year , HEADBANGER was so united to this united to this scene having a good contacts.  Many years has running and once again We have a great bands from chile in this pages. I stay complety glad to  know about that Chilean black metal scene has grow up a  lot, with great acts like MEGIDDO, AMMIT and Now they are introduce to MALEDICTUM, it’s a band that definetely makes that chilean black metal come back from the ashes and takes the leadership again in this side of the world. Talking about his musical proposal, they are coming very influenced by norse sound, very focused to cool, raw and real black metal. Sometimes I can hear some passages of MEGIDDO, but it’s band is very raw and faster, so I can mentioned another thing like MALEDICTUM plays unholy black metal that expose hate and gave us only true satanic feel. This stuff is to all worpshippers of the unholy black art and all souls that runs through the black forest. This stuff not is complex but musical quality is good, but who’s care. Into MARDUK vein.it’s very cruel..................7.3/10

MALLEUS – INTO THE BLACK METAL-CD-DEMO-BRAZIL-5 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW)

I listened to the fucking black metal band Malleus from Rio da Janeiro, Brazil. it’s contain 5 tracks of incredible and violent black metal with some european influencies but in the brazilian way, the massacre begins with the “Prelude”, good intro, and then it goes to "Behated Unholy Order" incredible song. But for me the best song is “Beyond the black fog” a great song, good riff , the drums are really great and the voice pure fucking hate, the last song is called “Renegated by  light” its a good song too. Finally the outro called Liber Oz .a dark sound at the same as that one of the prelude. I recommend this demo cdr, the sound is very professional and the layout is great!!!just black and white. This French band is loyal reflex of the can produce FRANCE now in all the fusions of Black/death metal. Their music can't be believe exactly black metal. Althought their music has a sound to MARDUK,this is mixed with american Death metal sound.The riffs are aggressive,also in the vocals parts.This is an atractive sound to the ears,that do of this CD and interesting purchase. ...................................................... 8.0/10

MALKUTH:’FOURTH EMPIRE’-CD 2004-BRAZIL-11 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW)

‘EXTREME BIZARRE SEDUCTION’ opened the black metal doors to this band. In these chance, the melancholic was signed in each track his rhythms was fulfilled of synths. The CD was good but don’t had a good reception by the extreme black metal bangers. After some releases, they has got a musical progress without lost brutality and extremism. Now, they’re present Us ‘FOURTH EMPIRE’ , were the band is more mature, where the musical path it’s signed by faster rhythm changes and they has left the synths parts to second side. Their music is more elaborate, the instrumental parts isn’t contain melancholics atmospheras nevermore. They’re more preocupied in the riffs work, full of rhytms changes. Mid- tempo and excellent guitar solo’s and arrangements. The tracks is with best structure than ever doing of this CD a enjoyable stuff. strongly urgent to get it to all technical black metal fans.............................7.8/10

MANEGARM 'DODSFARD'-DISPLEASED RCDS-2003

urgh ! ! !Viking Metal to max ! ! !This work is a great release of the potential of this fuckin'band.Each track,each riffs is a pagan Hymn of the Viking feeling.The music follows the way of their homeland THYRFING another great band.11 tracks have 'DODSFRAD' all are Viking hymns,great production,excellent musical work ;quality musicians that do a music with great feeling for their roots.I hope deeply to do an interview to the next issue because I consider this band the next of THYRFING and ENSLAVED. .................................................... 8.5/10

MANEGARM: “VREDENSTID”-CD 2005 (NEW REVIEW)

Sometime ago I reviewed “DODSFARD” cd, in these chance I’ve had the pleasure to listen one of the best VIKING metal band and they got a  great recognition in this magazine, inclusive I gave it a great coins to them. In this review I’ll come back to write at the same than ever, because the great quality of tracks is similar than DODSFARD it will contain exceptional structures, each member plays their instruments very well, also have a great rhythm changes that combines with melodic parts, fast parts, Viking riffs, Nordic hymns, shouts of war of the ancestral battles and mythological tales. Really marvelous, tracks like SIRGBLOT, KOLOGA TROLLTAND or VREDENS TID strike your heart with Viking hymns like tribute to your ancient culture and Viking race, these lands of warriors  and lords of war. VREDENSTID is a opus to the folk music but it also contain strongly and furios riffs. I guess that everything that you wanted in Viking music you can get it here. It’s a masterpiece, amazing, it’s the best stuff of the year………………………………..9.5/10

This is a project of a ex-INCANTANTION.that come back to life an old band of the '86 till '90 years.The music is on the line of CARCASS,DISMEMBER and a lot of the CHRIS REIFERT band AUTOPSY.the music is in the old school.the production of the cd is the best,excellent because in the music line they don't have discover nothing.All the tracks are so death metal,each riffs is grinding,and do the music atractive.The technic is good and So common in USA. .............................................................................................................. 7.5/10

Since years ago that I don’t listened a great album and the most important thing can be the fact that it’s recorded on vynil. Another point that I’ve saw, The respect by his roots and the complete tribute to his old brazilian  sound. Here you don’t found any fashion riff, beautiful atmospheres or anything else. They haven’t want to sound like other bands and specially as many NORSE bands when you’ve heard MAUSOLEUM you understood that I want to say. This band from the first riffs makes you a devote of his sound , after you can’t leave it anymore. They play old Brazilian black/death metal in the perfect sense of these golden years.only you will finding desperates rhythms that made explode itself. The guitar creative was release by CERBERUS and DOUGLAS making a perfect and marvellous conception of tracks, these structure cannot be compare with any band. they are only one!!! TRIUNFAL ALIANZA , it almost perfect album, that more can I say about these GODS called MAUSOLEUM, only recommended it!!! SIDE ‘B’ it has done by HECATE, another Brazilian black horde that reminds me to old greek glories as ROTTING CHRIST ‘THE MIGHTY CONTRACT’ epoch even THOU ART LORD or VARATHRON. Their musical conception is done with harmonies and beautiful passages of synths. Therefore they deserve to be consider like cult bnad. This masterpiece it’s only done on vynil format & tape but are pressed on limited edition...PLAY IT LOUD!!!.....9.8/10

Very proffessional band that comes from the Black Metal land,but their music is very different,they played only and unique heavy metal,powerful heaviness and true metal in the old style.very influence by IRON MAIDEN in musical structure,and guitar solos and riffs,combine with the KLAUS MEINE vocal style,.Their music is technic and full of good guitar riffs being this stuff to all lovers of the Heavy metal,when I say all lovers is for all true heavy metal into the 70's & 80's school. ..................................................................... 7.5/10

MESEMON ECROF:’USELESS WAY OF THE CROSS’-CD-R DEMO 2005- 4 TRAX-BRAZIL (NEW REVIEW)

Sometime ago I’ve reviewed a ‘DISGRACE OF WAR’ demo-tape in the issue #6, In this chance I write from my personal point of view which the band was influenced by CANNIBAL CORPSE even MORTICIAN, SUFFOCATION & MALEVOLENT CREATION. Nowadays I think which the band is following at the same way, but at the last stuff is more technic and more elaborated than ever, with some rhythm changes, very faster & inspired by MORTICIAN/MALEVOLENT CREATION feels. As you can see these guys are playing an extremely death metal with full of guttural vocals, then it I can write which is the brazilian response to above mentioned bands. Usually I don’t listen this kind of stuff a lot, but MESEMON ECROF has show us to be a mature band with a good proposal. Where each member know very well their instruments & how to do a great tracks of extrem music. Recommended!!!................................................................7.4/10

WOSLOM 'GROWING PALE' very well done, Thrash with Death touches, a good sound, a good rhythm changes, RECTAL COLLAPSE excellent Deathgrind, DAWN OF DEFIANCE 'SUMMONIG DEATH' this band have a good metal mix, this guy travel through of Doom, Death, Black & heavy metal riffs that combine with great property of guttural voclas, I remember the first Ep of GENOCIDIO from BRAZIL, This band came out from URUGUAY, Great!!! BLACK WINTER 'THE MOURNING OF THE ANGELS', cruel & insane greek band in the same vein of NAER MATARON, faster & intense. CHORONZONIC 'LIVING IN MISANTHROPIC COMMUNION WITH THE DARKNESS', the music is ok, pure black metal, but the drumm sound is awful, it's a drumm machine. BLOODY 'REAL VISION' is simple deathrash, nothing memorable. FORNICATION 'DREADFUL FEELINGS OF SUFFERANCE', very influenced by the Swedish school, with some Brazilian touches, death metal!!! AS THE SHADOWS FALL, my Fav. band, black in the Brazilian feelin', faster, crude, morbid and extreme. SUPER!!! VILGEFORTZ, death metal with great guitar riffs, a great rhythm changes too!!! OVERLORD, have a 80's influences, heavy & Thrash riffs in the old vein of ANTHARES 'NAO LIMITE DA FORCA', MESEMEN ECROF 'DECAPITED SOLDIERS' deathgrind in the maximun expresion. IN HELL 'THE END, is another great Brazilian death/black metal band, they have some releases out, all of them extreme black/death vein, their sound is influenced by GENOCIDIO 'HOCTAEDROM' & PENTACROSTIC, Great!!! OPUS DRACONIS 'MALEVOLENT REBORN FROM HEAVEN', this band is a new star comin' from PORTUGAL, excellent mid-paced black metal. PRIMORDIUM 'THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE KINGS', death metal band with excellent drum work, great rhythm changes, heavy, faster and brutal. WINTERMOON 'SABA DOS PRAZERES', cruel & bestial black metal, bastard & insane, simply great!!! ETERNAL MALEDICTION 'FLAMES OF HUMANITY', this is the best band from the present CD, I like so very much this kind of stuff, it's Black/death metal 80's mixed with 2000's sound, excellent!!! HECATE 'HINO A LUA' is another great black metal band, in the Brazilian vein. METAL VOX, also produced & distribued some Cd's like SKYFORGER, or HELLBORN. ........................................................ 9.0/10

Wonderful CD!!!masterpiece!!! This conceptually release it was inspired on Dark atmospheres, classical stuff and pure majestous greek feels in perfect mixed with own inspiration. Powerful tracks of high octanage of dark metal, technic and virtousity....great added of piano and keyboards too!!! Of course many people can be imagine which MORCROF can be consider like a ROTTING CHRIST/VARATHRON response in this side of the world...HELL YEZZ!!! I like so much the MORCROF version from ‘THE FORTH KNIGHT OF REVELATION’ in the ROTTING CHRIST tribute. So when i listened this Cd I come back to PASSAGE TO ARCTURUS years even VARATHRON/THOU ART LORD stuff!!! URGHH!!! GREAT!!! This band present a perfect sound, perfect guitar work, perfect piano/synths,strong arrangements and plus more. The stuff is effective dark and deepest. Each track is conceived to hear it from the begginning at the last. No doubt, it’s the album of year... buy it or die!!!! .....................................................................................................9/10

MORTEM-‘DE NATURA DAEMONUM’-CD 2005-PERU-11 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW)

Really I think which DE NATURA DAEMONUM it’s the best work of this band Black/death metal horde from PERU. This work was done with perfectly sound, excellent production and high technic. I got satisfaction with this release coz’ I’ve saw how grow up year by year. This band Now  is more mature & proffessionalism than ever. So, come back again to his music, technically clean, very influenced by 80’s years as the best death metal acts like POSSESSED even MORBID ANGEL. I reserve my right to continue speaking about their sound because I’ve only heard a unique an only one influences these that I above mentioned. Well, here the unique word to describe this excellent stuff can be when you listen DEATH ‘LEPROSY’, MORBID ANGEL ‘A.O.D’,’THY KINGDOM COME’ & POSSESSED ‘BEYOND THE GATES’ or ‘SEVEN CHURCHES’.The band has got a good performance alive too!!! they has played in several gigs on EUROPE and USA having a good response for the bangers. If you have a chance to check it out, you can see the true death/black metal power of this band. ‘DE NATURA DAEMONUM’ it’s the best Peruvian work and highly recommended to all headbangers........................................................................................................................8.5/10

MORTINATUM.-'DEMO 2003'-5 TRACKS

This has to be one the most brutal releases of 2003,each track is like a whiplash on your back when you hear it,you'll feel hate toward religion running through your veins.Musically it has a big Nordic sound but with a great Basque feel.influences are running from the cruelty of NARGAROTH pasing across JUDAS ISCARIOT,and very deep and fast riffs with cuts that will make your brain cells explode. 5 hateful,half speed tracks,just out of hell with a great guitar work.'NIRE OINAZEA' is fast,raw and infernal 100% black metal,what a great track,it's excelent ! ! !'HAU DA GUDA' this bonus track is the best in.This CD I'll cut my veins for it's obscurity and cruelty.I think that BASQUE scene is one of the best,all bands are excellent and MORTINATUM shows it.This promo CD is Highly recommended a real must have Urgent ! ! ....................................................... 9.5/10

I know that many people when will read this review,will think that I'll excess me in the score.This CD to who love and remember us the old times of the black metal,This CD is to Our ears.Their riffs primitives,fast and intense,sometimes full of feeling, melancholic but to cruels, They go in the old vein of MAYHEM and BATHORY (the first one).9 tracks of pure evil and cruelty,that will blow your veins till finish your last drop of blood.After a short intro,a violent track fast ,the best track,'TORMENTING MY NIGHTS',here don't exist the mid-temp only velocity and fury ! ! !.if you want a bit of melancholic hear 'DESTROY YOUR LIFE FOR SATAN' is bloody ! ! !The only discordant is the no variation in the drums ;sounds like a machine.This CD is highly recommended. .......................................................... 9.0/10

Oh my God ! ! !This is a black metal cruel,insane,pagan,if exist a band in Australia that bring out the heritage of cruel bands like SLAUGHTER LORD,CORPSE MOLESTATION or BESTIAL WARLUST this is that you are searching.They sound to the Nordic Black metal like IMMORTAL mixed with NARGAROTH.We’re speaking of the black metal gods ! ! !This work have 8 tracks with an excellent guitar work,good intro,solos and excellent vocal work,that will leave you extasied of pleasure.the first track ‘DUMAIS WELLS’ is violent,mighty.I think that will be the new gods ! ! !and we must see this scene with the eyes very good opened. ....................... 9.5/10

MYSTERIAL.-‘REH/PROMO CD-3 TRAX-2004-PERU.-

Some years ago I’ve listened this prodigious band, in this time the main influences and inspiration were in the ROTTING CHRIST, and I believe that they still keepin’ the same taste until now, but add an the greek tunes like yours.in the present, They has had an progress and musical evolution, the 3 tracks have an major musical level, excellent rhythm changes, solid drum work and dark atmosphere. Adding more melodic, progressive and dark moments. Then it that end product is great. I still wait for official CD to do an optimous review. Forget it, the band has not definition, cause they’re flying into dark/death/progressive & true metal................8.2/10

MYSTIFIER:’THE WORLD IS SO GOOD THAT WHO MADE IT DOESN’T LIVE HERE’-CD 2005-BRAZIL-14 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW)

What can more say about these GODS!!! They has changed the perspective of black metal music since 80’s years when ‘WICCA’ was released. They has had many releases out, between these great albums I can mentioned WICCA and GOETIA as the most representative, and ‘the world...’ came out with the new black metal blood into his music. This CD it contain a strange vocal work never has released before to them, How I said before they’re showing a  new sound, more technic, very development than ever, and still keepin’ violent parts. The guitar work is doing a great rhythm changes, different riffs, usually never released in other previous works. ‘The world...’is offer Us as plus bonus a ALEYSTER CROWLEY demo; this demo can be define as a  dark, cool and extremely satanism too, and  never has been released on CD before., it’s created by eternal glory and tribute for the black magician called ALEYSTER CROWLEY...This stuff is extremely great, but I sincerely prefer WICCA album and this is the most innovative and experimental black metal album of MYSTIFIER. I stay complety satisfied of listen up. I don’t know if old MYSTIFIER fans can be thanxful to beelzeebubth for this new sound, but I must to recommended because they’re sounding really great!!! CULT BAND!!!!!!!..........................................9/10

MOTORIZED: “ LAND OF CHAOS” CD-R DEMO 2005 – PARAGUAY – 5 TX (NEW REVIEW)

Without doubt, we are in front of a death Paraguayan metal goods!!! After slow agony has stopped this work. Motorized has took the place and do it of the best form, playing a raw death metal doomy, faster & intense influenced by the well known death metal gods from USA called Morbid angel. It´ s a weel played death, that includes several rhythm breaks, they´ re doing a versatil music, mid tempo even faster times. It´ s a pleasure know that South American scene is growing a lot with excellent and extreme band like that, I believe that S. America it´ s the best scene at all over the world. Some tracks recommended here: “Beginning” and “Psychosis”………Great stuff……………………………………………..…7.8/10

MANTICORE:’FOR RATS AND PLAGUE’-CD 2006-USA-10 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW)

For those that never heard MANTICORE name I want to introduce this excellent death/black metal band. They have released some extense releases out, all of them with relative success and also are extremely crude and raw, very inspired by the evil side of the human being and it contain prolific satanic themes too. I should say that basically their music can be influenced by old GOATLORD and INCANTATION, so you can obtain some idea about their musical path. For my personal taste I enjoy it so much, because you can find out mid tempo parts, at time this sound morbid, brutal and have all death metal elements, Also some black metal riffs…and it’s sounded very original yet. Of course it’s so difficult find out original bands nowadays. At least They have impress me. Anyway FOR RATS AND PLAGUES is not to open minded or youngers that usually they hear all metal elements, because this release it’s only for true black/metal lovers…excellent stuff………………………………………………..8/10

This band is older in the BRAZILIAN scene and they was formed since 1988 and this release was available only as vynil lp format, Now we have the chance to put at the cd player with special bonus like rae first demos, previously released at the 88, 89, 90 years. And all Brazilian thrash death lovers must be happiness to get it. These demos are the best work in this production, they kept intact these 80’s feeling that we want. Their music can be compared with other BRAZILIAN bands like METRALION, EXTERMINIO and KRYPTA. Basically the music is 80’s thrash with a bit of death metal.…all is here, demo’s,lp’s and the best, their faster music…that’s all of this cd. Only for true whorpshipers of the ancient Brazilian stuff…great!!!...............8/10

MELANCHOLIC ART offer Us only furious Black metal, very inspired by heartbreakings, cries of pain of whom falled into the hell!!!And they have an excellent proposal where the guitar riffs have perfect work, very solid with good musical structure, put out good emphasis in the perfect play of the tracks. I guess that all integrants are prolific and drive so perfectly their instruments too and this made that the band band will be great. I think that BRAZIL land has in MELANCHOLIC ART another great band that all metal bangers will know like one of the best bands of this side of the world. FORCA BLACK METAL PAMPEANO it’s a black metal Cd played with really darkness, strong and honestly against the decrepit Christian regime. good work………………………………………………………………………………...7.7/10

For the more youngers, the name of DON AIREY aren’t mean nothing. This is a big instrumentalist that had played together with OZZY OSBOURNE and WHITESNAKE and others great bands of the golden 80’s years. Well this is his new band that kept the true 80’s essence as tribute for those bands that played this sound like ARMORED SAINT & FATES WARNING, showing great musical quality where the heavy riffs are mixed with the speed, the solo’s are great and I said are very majestic in a perfect combination with the melodious voice, making of each track a magnificent poem of metal. Many people will be thinking that I ‘ll be writing this , If I’m into black metal, but it’s simple I was borned at the last of 70’s years into the metal scene like metal lover and I cannot leave to my roots ever the nostalgia takes places, for this reason METALIUM makes that my blood boiling. Great musicians, great compositions and the sound it’s so equal than above mentioned bands…GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!...........................8/10

Its a typical black metal band from South America with a old sound, nothing complex very simple, sung in Spanish but I can notice that this guys aren’t creative but they has had good intention to gave us a good product here, we can listen some crushing rhythms with some intense parts to mid tempo, nothing creative but it’s decent music so I hope that Misanthrope it’s rehearsing so hard to the next release and can gave us a best tracks with best technic too!!!
