ABUSO VERBAL: ‘Seu Castigo Ao Vivo ‘-CDR Promo 2005 -8 tracks.- From the most great black/death metal lands of the world, it comes ABUSO VERBAL with a old proposal of playing the old sound that brazilian bands played some years ago, so brutal, intense fast, raw, crude, strenght and power. the present release has been recorded on alive and it’s contain some interesting riffs, basically inspired on Death Grind at the ends of the 80`s years. Well, here you can`t find out some soft rhythms or anything else, the rhythms here are made to crushing heads with social lyrics, the sound is very retro I guess that this piece is to all those metallers of the 80`s years, the sound is clear are not so good but it´s clean, it`s acceptable to be recorded on alive. I can catalogue this genre like Death Core from the beginning till end, also they have been recorded, Necromancer (Sepultura cover) as plus bonus in this CDR great……………………………………………………….7/10

When I
received this tape to do the review and I read the credits and name i said
me another typical black gothic metal, but to press the play of my tape
recorder, my ears bleed. The nevecells one to one destroy themselves I was
cold...the band is a beast of black metal, cold atmospheres, insane speed,
with a drum that I think is programmed but to a 1000 mph. I remembered a lot
to satanic hordes from BRAZIL like OCULTAN and SPELLFOREST. An intense black
metal, well played with variants and exact rhythm changes, this is a machine
created by the same demon. Good

Intensity,faster.all in a death metal ;violent
riffs but with a good work.nothing complex but delicious.They kept the line
of MUTILATED(Their old band of the 80’s),but adjust to the new times,mixed
with a sound of double large drum of the great drummer,doing a sound so
compact and also doing a band of great quality inside death metal.4 tracks
that sound to the work of the gods of the deathspeed from USA’ MALEVOLENT

This is excellent and very technically band,with
a full a good riffs that made which you reminds the golden years of thrash
metal music.Oh,my god,my brain,this stuff is very good.I found ARTILLERY
riffs and BATTALION(the old ones) too.,with great twice vocal work,but at
time this band is rhythmic too,with a full of old feelin'.They played old
fuckin'thrash riffing,very complex,with excellent guitar work and they have
an incredible sound.I'm so very happiness to listen this kind of bands with
old style.Great ! ! !All tracks have a very good structure,is proud and

I feel great emotions each time I heard this
band, the remembers was reborning, I can't doubt this stuff is 100 o/o heavy,
old stuff in NWOBHM vein like RAINBOW, JOE LYNN TURNER, ELF or sometimes
PURPLERISH feel. However, the tracks aren't very quality played, no
memorables riffs or solo's, only pure old feelin'. But, it's so good heard
sometimes bands like ancient ones. ...... 7 /10 |

brazilian band,They've played an interested Black/folk/symphonic metal,at
time can be faster or melodic,aggressive and mid tempo,not doubt they're

download.Well,the first track is STAR OF EARENDELL,mid tempo,excellent riffs
goes to the GREAT VAST FOREST vein,the dissapointed is the programmed drumms.
THE DOWN FALLEN is opened to rhythm guitar and atmospheric ambient,followed
by the same musical rhythms.it's a dark athmosphere.the folk parts are so
good that I remember CRUACHAN spirit too!!!!Whatever I believe which this

Excellent and incredible Black/Death metal.All
tracks are intenses,faster and excellents riffs.AUSTRALIA hits
without mercy with good bands and AMENTA is not the exception.Their music
experiment the good mix of the Australian death metal sound with the
European sound a la ZYKLON and CRIPTOSY.doing of this one and excellent

ANTON: “TODOS MORIRAN HOY”.CD 2004-MEXICO-11 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW) When I was in PARAGUAY I had the chance to Saw ANTÓN alive. These day, the sound was good & they played good too, but sincerely I don’t like so much their musical style because I prefer the black metal sound and they're a rare metal stuff. His music is more focused to BRUJERIA (I don’t know if they’re playing true metal or funny metal), really I have to say that they effor a lot to gave Us a good product add to be more known in the metal world and it’s possitive. I’m going to different ways but I can to recognizne this effor. Musically they’re takimg an aggressive style, sometimetimes heavy that includes a good vocal a la BRUJERIA, mid tempo rhythms even these rhythms are louder. ARUM:’INHUMAN ECHOES FROM THE SHADOWS’-CD 2004-BRAZIL (NEW REVIEW) Some years ago I had on my hands their ‘FIERCE EVERSLATING TEMPEST’ CD, that show me a technical black metal band, where the riffs work and excellent musical quality were at the first thing to them. They are not typical Brazilian band and his first work wasn’t a magnificent release but it’s contain a excellent rhythms changes and ARUM wanted to gave Us a good product...later, came out ‘INHUMAN ECHOES FROM THE SHADOWS’, it’s done more mature, with a dark path but that looks their future with a shinning lights. His work is done more technical, so many musical changes, so many rhythm changes with fast passages, mid tempo, optimal instrumental quality too. Sometimes , We can think that BLACK METAL is played in the NORWEGIAN STYLE only, and I guess that ARUM has took the best thing of NORSE sound and it has combine with a best Brazilian sound and greek feeling.without doubt a sound that keep the true black metal essence. ASSASSIN:’THE CLUB’-CD 2005-GERMANY-12 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW) When I knew sometime ago about the come back of this band, I cannot await to have in my hands their new works, but the deception was obviously with each theme of this CD. Behind are the 80’s years when I interviewed to ROBERT GONELLA in 1987 and I had on my hands ‘THE SAGA OF NEMESIS’ demo-tape & ‘UPCOMING TERROR’-Lp. One of the best thrash albums that puked GERMANY, Oh!!! Great times, good music that created these guys, but like said the phrase ‘all past time was better’ and that now I can confirm. Here don’t exist more BULLETS!!! Where the faster riffs so went, the faster drums and the vocal works are dissapear...where the composition and conception of the tracks were made to be digest from the begin at the end. All of that was R.I.P in ‘THE CLUB’...ASSASSIN is a band without ideas, neither respect for their past, where they come taking too serious the new tendencies. The rhythms are so fresh, but too commercials, too accesibles, and the vocals are totally unknown to be reminds to GONELLA voice. A work without ideas, without way, too prefabricate, honestly I must to say, better was remind to them like the thrash band from 80’s...This CD is a copy of ANTHRAX (SUCKS!!!) and D.R.I (THRASH ZONE to ahead)...really poor!!!!!!!...................................6.5/10 |

ATSPHEAR.-‘NEW LINE SYSTEM’-CD 2006-SPAIN:
As I said before I dislike to download Mp3 files to do a review, but Here I do an exception. The first thing that caught my attention was the name, because is a bit strange, for this reason If someone it have the chance to check it on CD charts or list, maybe it wouldn’t be taking seriously as a death metal band, but believe it or not? It’s a great techno death metal band. So, I know that you have in mind!!! it’s another band likely GOTTEMBURG sound and You have reason. Then, We can add only a few comments besides. The band have a seemingly to old IN FLAMES/ early DARK TRANQUILITY touches even more techno death bands. Sometimes I found to ATSPHEAR being the same reflect of AMORPHIS. If We want to speak about the musical techniques I guess that’s the best thing here, The high technic that they’re using to play all instruments are fuckin’ great, but the soft & beautiful passages it makes boring at time, perhaps If they want to give it more strength and heaviness to their tracks surely, can be sound a bit better. But I'm complety thankful for the quality of the end product. Truly, We have to accept that they’re great musicians. Good stuff…………………………………………………………………………………7.8/10

ATANAB.-‘GODDES OF THE FLESH’-CD 2003-COLOMBIA-10 TRAX.- Another godly black metal band from Colombia, They comes this time with ‘GODDES OF THE FLESH’, an Cd that have 10 trax of pure mayhemic slaughter, faster riffs, faster drums & unusual vocals parts. Full potential. Nowadays, along with THY ENDLESS WRATH, & UTUX XUL, are the most best acts from COLOMBIA. ‘DEMONIO’ or ‘WARRIOR’ both trax with pure destruction, fast as a shark, urrgghh!!!, great intensity, in my opinion, they have a great sound but I dislike a little bit with drum sound (the record sound beats so much). The 10 tracks here are Ok. Great album. Also They ‘re add an Cd-rom video of GODDES OF THE FLESH track. If you were around of black metal acts of South- American scene, this is looking for.........8.0/10 |

ATANAB: ‘Black Magic’ Promo CD 2005 -3 tracks-Colombia.- This band has moved so much from his beginning, first one they has been playing some kind of doom/black metal, later Goddess of the flesh, their oficial CD put out his new way of play metal, doing only black metal and their new stuff comes more faster, brutal evil than previous releases. I’ve been surprised with this band because they have an evolution and now, they are more mature, more technic the vocals parts are more crude, the guitar work are continued the same way than Goddess of the flesh, the fast passages are in all tracks also they are present us a new drummer that make a good job, the stuff are sounded clear, I must to add that they have effort a lot, and deserve that we are check it out and we star alert to listen their upcoming release, where some tracks here will be include it on this good work…………………………………………………………………………...7.5/10

parts,faster parts and definitely is a powerful stuff,'CALL FROM THE DEPTHS'
and 'THE DEMON OF THE MIDDLE AGES' are more representative tracks.I believe

VAMPIROS’-DEMO-ARGENTINA-12 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW) When anyone mentions a band possessing brutal and at time screaming vocals, the first thing that comes to the mind is brutal death metal or grinding stuff. Well, here I introduce to ANGKOR they does a black/death metal music with two kind of vocals ,later another strange thing on his music it’s the old synths sound , the mixed can be strange but the music out it’s quite ok.If I had to compare with anyone band I cannot mentioned anyone, because They have their own sound and style. And it’s the best. I also can comment it, They have some interesting classic heavy metal influences that combines so perfectly with their style. Ah!! AKELDAM¬: ‘AB ETERNUM’-CD
2006-PERU-10 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW) Great CD debut of this young Peruvian band which show Us how grow up the black metal music into the deeps of peruvian hell!!! If we can mentioned some influences to know about their sound we can say DIMMU BORGIR, OLD MAN’S CHILD and other melodic stuff, But if you needs more info I can give you more comments. The musicians quality is highly talented, great...But I think that it sound more modern black metal than older ones, still continues heavy on the keyboards & synths parts that they Use. In fact someone can imagine that AKELDAM’S sound can be playing only commercial stuff but I’m not of any one of those people that thinkin’ which DIMMU BORGIR it’s only commercial metal or all bands that sounded like them are commercial music ,fuck!!! ‘COMPILATION #1-CD-R 2006’-PARAGUAY-10 TRACKS (NEW REVIEW) Excellent Paraguayan compilation that describe how grow up this scene, the present releases goes from heavy/speed/thrash/death metal and core stuff, Giving Us a best perspective how they’re sounded & their musical progress of their owner bands. Now I only speaks about a few bands like INFERNAL COMMAND that have developed their music and influences with a great fresh german style, very inspired on earlier 80’s thrash music. At the same taste than VIOLENT ATTACK (the second one). Both bands have a similar old influences. ( I talk about of PROTECTOR,VIOLENT FORCE, NECRONOMICON and old DESTRUCTION). MOTORIZED continues, it’s more focused to BRAZILIAN death metal, very strong, with a great sound that accomplished with their own sound...fuckin’ great!!! NIGHT HUNTER it’s another powerful death metal band that follow the MOTORIZED steps. Their music it’s only death metal and more death...simply great!!! OVERLORD together VIOLENT ATTACK maybe it’s the most representative thrash band in their current scene, but they’re sounded very different. OVERLORD plays old Bay area thrash metal, with a full of moshing riffs and thrashier vocal style great!!! WARSEEDS its a new death metal band. I consider that’s the most powerful and the best of all!!! They’re playing very powerful , intense & has got a great sound too. AGLAROND: “ ACROSS THE DARIC NIGTH” CD 2004 - MEXICO(NEW REVIEW) This cd arrives thanxs to American line prods therefore its band comes, from Mexico but it so strange , because this record label is more into grind/gore stuff and aglarond plays gothic metal music . well, I guess that gothic metal is not good seen for all people around of heavy metal music , just by his theatrical side electronic parts and female vocals , somebody ´s another band into the gothic spectre , and it contain good female vocalist work, the keyboards parts are given a dark atmospheres with dense passages; I dislike comparate with other bands but I've heard some influences as: Lacuna voil and Anathema , the musical style is simply gothic nothing convincing but very effective. I don`t like so much this style but I must to recognize the good work in this CD. AQUERONTE: “MESAGERIOS DO ABADDON” TAPE/DEMO 2004 – 3 TX(NEW REVIEW) Another black metal band that becomes from Brazil, exactly from Curitiba land, it´s place produced some others great bands like: Amen corner, Evil war & Murder rape, but recently has appeared some cruelty bands like Aqueronte and it was surprised by his extreme loyalty to black metal arts and hate against to Christianity. His music it´s raw, faster that will destroy your nevercells!!! His guitar riffs are black arrows that goes directly to your heart. It´s very deepest, cool, darkness even brutal. Excellent stuff!!!! ACROSS: DAMAGING SOULS” CD-R DEMO(NEW REVIEW) When I hear some brazilian death metal bands that usually appear on the brazilian scene I notice each one is given touch to his style, and all are different one´ s of others and they´ re mixing with excellent precisition on his old brazilian way´ s it´ s very doomy, cruel & raw. Here you don´ t found some funny riffs or bored rhythms, his proposal is only one; they want up it all with aggressive riffs and intense rhythms; it´ s quality as brutal death metal with excellent rhythm chances that goes from heavy´ till brutally even faster to mid tempo too. 3 WAY SPLIT CD HELLSPAWN/HATEFUL/IMPUREZA-CD 2006-FRANCE-15 TRACKS(NEW REVIEW)
One new compilation CD again!!! In this chance
We have 3 death metal bands in only one CD and fortunately the 3 bands
forward, are playing decent death metal. The first one called HELLSPAWN are
showing an amazing death metal, very developed with some raw touches, very
powerful and solid arrangements, Also I can add which they’re influenced by
MORBID ANGEL and HATE ETERNAL, After comes HATEFUL band, it’s so usual as
all death metal bands, typical but decent, their music is something that you
usually expect, Also I must to be recognize that still they’re good
musicians and their music, surely would be better. Finally IMPUREZA band
have playing, just this band comes from FRANCE but they ‘re singin on
Spanish language (it’s a quite strange), and I’ve thought which they’re the
best band of the present compilation, his music it’s speed, raw, powerful
with excellent rhythm changes and violent breaks, Also I notice which they
have influences from death metal to black. I’m wonder with this stuff…what

4 WAY SPLIT CD-R NECROMORTEN/SIGHTLESS/G.S TRUDS/WARBIFF-2005-BRAZIL-8 TRACKS(NEW REVIEW)
If I could give a name to this CD could be ‘BACK
TO THE EIGHTIES’, because all music here it is done with the same feelin’
than 80’s years and the musical way it’s the same too!!! At least I have
this impression. The first band is called NECROMORTEN and they’re playing
80’s Bay area thrash metal , very influenced by old WHIPLASH gods!!! And
EXECUTER adding some catchy riffs. The next one it’s SIGHTLESS, their music
it is contains EXECUTER touches as main influence but they have a bit
difference to NECROMORTEN, maybe can be sounded more powerful and faster
than other band. G.S TRUDS it’s the most extreme band in, they’re mixing
thrashier riffs with death metal touches, playing a la GERMAN thrash music
as old KREATOR, but they have adding some guttural vocals parts, therefore I
said that, this band is the most powerful here. Then comes WARBIFF, as
cannot be of other way, they have as the main influence only 80’s BRAZILIAN
thrash metal as EXTERMINIO, DORSAL ATLANTICA even METRALION, It’s fantastic,
the riffs are catchies, some violents and it contain only true South
American thrash feel…Nothing more to add!!!........7.5/10 |

ANDRALLS.-‘MASACRE CORRUPTION, DESTRUCTION’-CD 2005-BRAZIL-18 TRAX(NEW REVIEW) This band is knowed in Peru, because They have had a great performance on their show at the BARRANCO/LIMA …PERU, released some months ago together NARKAN band. In these chance I saw a great thrash band, very solid, with a fast stuff to those that like to do a headbanging and mosh. Very productive and Effective too.So,They show Us how a thrash band must to be playing. Also I thought that we need to get more promotion for the Brazilian bands, because They show great technic & we must to learn of them a lot. Well, Talking about this work, was released some years ago, but recently re-edited & the musical way follow the same way that old-EXTERMINIO (brazilian band), & SEPULTURA (CHAOS A. D). At least, I hear it like above mentioned bands. Also have included some live performances like bonus. BRAZIL. And They have playing a good techno death metal even more dense and
mid paced rhythms that show Us that no it’s so usual in Brazilian bands
because they’re not typical death metal band. They’re more technic. Clearly
We ca find some USA elements on his music, So I mean too some techno death
metal rhythms more oriented to GOTTEMBURG sound, melodic but at the time can
be sounded stronger and brutal. The tracks have a good structures and the
musicians quality cannot be better. All of them know how play very well
their instruments. The tracks are not short and still keeping high octanage

When I received this stuff somedays ago I was
surprised by the high quality of death/black metal played, in the true way
from the pits of hell!!! Very inspired by old death glories such as SADISTIC
INTENT, IMMOLATION and OLD INCUBUS . Then I was check it out, some info by
internet to get more info about their proposal, and the info said that band
members have been played in others like DEMONCY & LESTREGUS NOSFERATUS; I
had the experience to hear it before this stuff some years ago and sincerely
I prefer the high performance of the actual music of APOCALYPTIC VISIONS
they have their own label, into totally brutal, so faster with great catchy
riffs and unbelieve great drum work, showing a perfect accomplishment as
band, But the best thing, they have respect to their old roots and musical
tastes. The lyrical parts are based on antichristian and extreme hateful

and mal,.very strong. Then, they have soft melodies, gothics moments like
TRISTANIA and early LACUNA COIL, but it’s sounded better of those bands.They
go for the gothic metal way, the melodies have a great rhythm changes, but I
prefer more strength in this music. The production it’s quite ok. Good work
of this great record label. |

ANHKREHG:’AGAINST YOU ALL’-CD 2004-10 TRAX(NEW REVIEW)
There’s a lot of time that I don’t know about
Canadian’s band, since the time of INFERNAL MAJESTY, AGGRESSION, and
SLAUGHTER, they marked a great time, because I think that ANHKREHG go by the
same way too, leaving marks in the metal scene. Their music is a mix of
BLACK METAL, played with a special feeling, very different to others scenes
and bands. At the same time they’re mixing death metal tunes in mainly of
passages of their musical compositions. The musical parts also contain some
aggressive tunes, faster parts, others are extreme with good breaks and
excellent drum work. About their sound we can tell that is a predator
machine, a chainsaw willing to cut your ears…Nothing to compare it.

One of the more great festivals of our music, for the people of this side of the world, who can’t be part of this. The record label ARMAGEDDON send Us this special edition of high quality in a box with 3 Cd, that include bands like: CATHEDRAL, MAYHEM, DIO, BRAINSTORM DORO, etc.all the kinds that includes Our love music. We have to accept this present. I only will comment 2 Cd….the first Cd is exceptional, it’s opening the hell doors, Ronnie James Dio gives one of the most important metal voices of the history, it’s a fuckin metal GOD!!! He gift Us 2 tracks ‘HOLY DIVER’ and ‘DON’T TALK TO STRANGERS’ of his wonderful first album, MOTORHEAD with ‘WE ARE MOTORHEAD’ and ‘THE LIFE IS A BITCH’, what we can say of this metal’s dinosaur; that’s all that more I can add!!!The surprise it’s the great musical quality of bands like WEINFOLD with their ‘STRIKE’ track,this track have a great feeling, in the same way than CATHEDRAL, this mean a lot with a sound as TROUBLE, excellent. BRAINSTORM with a 80’s very inspired HEAVY METAL a la FATES WARNING, MAYHEM , they have played PAGAN FEARS (but I prefer the old times), also includes tracks of CHILDREN OF BODON & CATHEDRAL showing all their strength. And closing this Cd , it’s DORO & CANNIBAL CORPSE are different styles but with a long trip that don’t need more comments. The Cd 2 has a low level in comparison with the first one. The best band here it’s DESTRUCTION I think so, they played NAILED TO THE CROSS track, a faster / intense track, another well known band is KOTIPELTO playing ‘REASONS’, then a lot of tracks that don’t need be reviewed until UNLEASHED band with excellent track as:’TO ASGAARD WE FLY’ and BLAZE BAILEY with IRON MAIDEN’S FEAR OF THE DARK track. ABOMINANT:’TRIUMPH OF THE KILL’-CD 2006-USA-9 TRAX(NEW REVIEW)
When I received the package and I had in my
hands ABOMINANT Cd I supposed that I received another bored stuff, but I was
surprised with contains in. then I stay totally fascinated by the intensity,
speed and great death atmosphere. Perhaps you’re thinking that I turned
crazy but I liked so much this stuff. The musical proposal it is only simple
classical USA death metal with some similitudes to others well knowed bands.
Also they haven’t any innovatives riffs or rhythms but the band is solid and
the cool arrangements do an excellent music…apart they’re mixing joke lyrics
with the powerful rhythms of death metal music doing a perfect communion
between both elements.the music is well known but still I believe that it’s
great…enjoyable stuff……………………..7.8/10 |

AGRESSOR:’VICTIMS OF YOURSELF’-CD 2006-BRAZIL-10 TRAX(NEW REVIEW)
This band was formed at the last of 1982 and
their first release was out at 2006 (do you believe it???), well after this
brief intro I could add that all people involved into thrash scene can know
about this band, but I believe that it is not true. So I want to introduce
to this old band that comes from BRAZIL and they’re playing well executed
old thrash metal in the vein of old thrash metal masters as EXODUS,
METRALION,SACRED REICH and EXTERMINIO, maybe ATTOMICA (the second full
length) also.The track riff contain high doze of thrash beats, mixing great
harmony parts, mid tempo to speed parts, also it includes some breaks and
good solos. The band is very solid and the mainly of rhythms are perfectly
done and the most incredible thing can be that they never have losing their
musical taste for the true thrash metal…Here don’t exist any innovative
riffs or anything else, only thrash and more thrash metal in the old vein.

Raw and crude old thrash metal inspired band,
very influenced by old acts like earlier SODOM even MINOTAUR and as you
supposed They’re coming from CHILE and they’re continuing with their old
saga which was signed by old bands like PENTAGRAM,SADISM, TOTTEN KORPS ,
etc. As you can see they’re followers of the true thrash metal music, also
they’re given more emphasis to brutal rhythms than soft melodies or some
catchy riffs, exactly they’re waiting to do some extreme harmonies and
panzer drum beats to be sounding like a war machine, nothing technical
almost imperfect in musical terms, but for all thrash lovers can be sounding
perfect. I’m so gratefully with DARIO from FORCE OF DARKNESS for sent me
this stuff and can to do a review on this pages. Only I wanna add anything,
get it now or die!!!.........6.7/10 |
