[+] kyougo monou [+]
Husband of
Saya, father of Fuuma and Kotori, Kyougo died protecting the very object
that his wife killed herself to give birth to. It was his duty to
protect the sword with his life,
and till his very end, he did.
He was a priest of the Togakushi shrine, and
dearly loved his family, especially his wife.
Still, Kyougo knew that his wife Saya had always longed for one
other person, and that
was Kamui's mother, Tohru Magami. Nevertheless, he cared for her
and the children.
Even when asked as to why he married Saya, it was simply because he loved her.
[+] an extract from X10 [+]
kyougo: ...you
are going to pass away, aren't you?
saya: yes. today, only in this
place, can the Holy Sword be born. if i, with the powers
however small, can become the receptacle.
kyougo: if it for
tohru-san?...i knew if from the first time you came to togakushi.
saya: dear...
kyougo: you mean tohru when
you say that.
saya: why...
kyougo: why did i marry you?
because i love you, no matter who you longed for.
saya: ...i'm...sorry.
kyougo: why are you
apologizing? you've been a good wife to me, and a good mother
to the children
saya: kyougo-san...
kyougo: my duty is to protect
the holy sword. until the holy sword is in 'kamui's' hand. i
will risk my life to protect the sword you bear...saya.
Years later, when
Kamui returns to Tokyo and
the destined battle begins, Kyougo is the
first victim to be killed in this war. Nataku, the soulless
being, goes to the Togakushi
Shrine for one mission, to claim the holy sword. And, since Kyougo was
in its way,
Kyougo had
to die.
Both Kotori and
Fuuma at the time are devastated by their father's death. First, their
mother died when they were both very young, and now their loving father. All alone,
they must cope with their loss. But then again, Kamui's return spurs up
more then
anyone expected, and he too, mourns Kyougo's death. He protected the
sword with his
very being, and that sword that he died for was now to become his
son's.
Kyougo represents the emperor in that tarot
cards, one of power and strength. He is a
sovereign that is even more powerful then a king, and perhaps by
being the emperor,
he is the solitary ruler with the strong will and who would stand
by his duty till the very
end.
