[+] saya monou [+]

wife of kyougo, mother of fuuma and kotori, saya was the one who forsook her loving
family to die for the one she truely loved, tohru magami. they first met in highschool,
and little did they know at the time that such a bond would grow between them; one
that would mean the ending of saya's life for the sake of tohru because of their
intertwined desitiny.

saya had some seering powers, yet not as powerful as her daughter's, kotori. she
used them to meet with tohru, and it was then when her powers turned so that she
could only understand tohru, and no one else like kotori. but nevertheless, she could
predict the future, and saw her and tohru's fate. and, ignoring her family, she died for
the sake of tohru and kamui.

[+] an extract from X10 [+]

tohru: this is the end. we won't talk again. please leave togakushi.
saya: no. i realized this the first time i met you. i would live for you, would die for you.
tohru: saya...
saya: i felt happy when i realized that. i was a high school student, the first day i met
you...i can remember it, even now. and you?
tohru: i haven't forgotten.
saya: that's good.
tohru: if you're not here, kotori-chan and fuuma-kun...
saya: kotori? this morning she clutched my hand and said, "don't go anywhere."
tohru: kotori-chan has inherited your powers.
saya: no, the only things i can understand are about you. kotori is a bit stronger then i.
but i'm happy. because i have the powe, though really only a little to understand the
future, i was able to meet you. don't cry.
tohru: i wouldn't cry if you were not the one who was to die tomorrow.
saya: tohru, if there is a hell, i am undoubtedly going there. such a kind person, to be
gifted with such cute children. yet i kept deceiving them again and again. but no matter
what anyone else says, i'm happy.
tohru: if i had more power i might have been able to change your future.
saya: no. even if you were god, that would be impossible. because i am the only one
who can choose my tomorrow.

that next day, she died, leaving her children and loving husband. giving birth to the
first sword, saya was killed, with her entire body being ripped apart. her tarot, the fool,
the card she that she represents, shows that her act was unwise, and even stupid. she
died, and was happy to die. she seemed to be elated to die for tohru, and whether
she is in heaven or hell (if either of them even exsist), it was through her own decision.
no one could waver her from her own judgement, and through this foolish act, she died
for tohru, and also kamui.

but through fate's twisted humour, the sword that saya had given her life to bear was not
to be tohru's 'kamui', but her own 'kamui', fuuma. it was only in the eighth book where
this was confirmed. and, with nataku guarding his sword, fuuma is currently running
rampage throughout tokyo, destroying the kekkai-s and killing as he pleases. and let's
not forget those wishes he grants along the way.
