Ami » Why Ami
You must be wondering why must it be Ami and not
Michiru or any other Senshi? The reason is because I like Ami
and adore her very much. She is a shy, quiet and an
intelligent girl. You can say that I am like her in a way. She
loves the colour blue and so do I and both of us love cats
too. Anyway I guess I have this thing for smart people and the
colour blue. Well we will turn back time and I will analyze
why I fall for her character in the first place.
The first time I learn about SailorMoon was from my friend
back in the year 1995. She was babbling about a cartoon and
talked to me about it. I put up a face showing her as if I
know what the heck she’s talking about when it was quite the
contrary. Anyway, I was determined to find out more about this
‘SailorMoon’ and when I spotted the anime comic book of
SailorMoon I forced my mother to buy it. I read it and fell
madly in love with it because I like the idea of girls
dominating over boys and thus breaking the stupid circle of
males being the only world saviour.
I immediately liked Usagi’s character. When I bought the
second book (much to my mother’s annoyance), my eyes fell on
the beautiful Ami. The moment Umino told Usagi, Naru and her
friends that Ami has an IQ of 300 I was utterly shocked and
from that moment I knew that I would love her character. When
I see her I sort of see myself, well excluding having an IQ of
300 of course, but hey I am smart, just not that smart.
My love for her grew as I found out that she loves the colour
blue, has a cool attack that confuses the enemy and that her
element is water (oh I love to play with water)!
OK, in the above previous paragraphs they may not explain
much why I actually like her in the first place. I never knew
why and so I will analyze and here are the detailed reasons:
Like I said, we have so much in common. I myself was rather
surprised and think it's pretty weird. It seems like I am
seeing myself in the anime. If I was a boy I would date Ami,
really, I know it sounds freaky and weird, but that's the
truth. If she ever exists, I think both of us will enjoy our
time together and put our heads together during exams. What
else can I say, Ami is the brain of the team and thinks before
she acts, and I like that kind of attitude. She does not judge
people the first time she meets them and I find her to be
rather wise. Her quotes may seem odd but later
on you will find that what she said is not odd but wise.
It is like I immediately have some sort of understanding when
I see why she is the way she is, get me?
Her ambition is to be a doctor and she does all that she
can achieve that dream of hers which is by studying hard for
it and for that I respect and admire her very much. I admire
her determination and for being able to focus on both her
studies and her job as a Senshi. I don't just like Ami because
we both have so much in common, but because there's something
about her and her attitude. I find her to be one of the
characters in the BSSM that has more depth compared to others.
First let us look at her background. Her mother is a doctor
and her father is a painter. So she has a science and art
blood flowing through her veins and a child born of such
parents is really special because they posses both branch of
specialties. I mean I see people being divided into two
categories which are the science category and the art
category. The science category are like doctors, engineering
and such while the art category is more to artists (painters,
actors and etc), authors overall they are people with
brilliant imaginations. So the combination of these two
categories will no doubt create a child who inherited both of
their specialties.
Ami understands the meaning behind her father’s paintings
and she can grab the complex matter such as science and maths,
thus showing that she is not only book smart, but she has an
understanding of other things which people can’t see. This is
one reason why I like her, her complex mind and her ability to
understand even the small and subtle things. Other than that
the fact that she does well in her studies even if her parents
are divorced is something I admire about her. Teenagers may
let things like their parents’ divorce affect their studies
and some can’t control their emotion in having a broken
family. Ami on the other hand is quite the opposite. She did
not go suicidal or let it interferes with her studies. This
shows that she does not think with her emotions (well most of
the time) but more with logical reasoning. Her action in
thinking positively and to think before she acts is another
trait in her that I learn to love and respect.
I don’t think I can come up with more reasons, but I will
add other reasons as to why if I can get these brains of mine
to work. Anyway I ask you this, why would you want to make a
site of your favourite Senshi or actors? There may or may not
be a reason behind it, but whether there is or not you will
still like whoever it is that you like no? |
