Ami » Injustice to Ami
In this section I will discuss some of the things that I find to be the injustice done unto
our favorite character, Ami Mizuno a.k.a. SailorMercury. If you disagree please do speak your

Those people who drew the anime Ami just love to give her a bad hair
day, not to mention that it looks glued to her head! Due to that her
hair just looks too big for her small cute face. She looks like she
is wearing a wig! Compared to the manga her hair there is more...
flowy and it looks real and nice. Her hair looks nothing like a wig in the manga!
Ami is always or most of the time one of the first to die in the
series. It sort of shows us and wanted to tell us that she is the
weakest and useless senshi ever lived! Is that true? Why does she
has to die all the time, followed by her other fellow senshi except
for SailorMoon? It's not fair in my opinion. She does have a low
self-esteem and that her attacks are mostly defensive, but that
doesn't mean she has to be the first to die, and please bear in mind
the she is as important to the group as Usagi is as she helped the
Inner Senshi a lot in annihilating the MOTD.
 Her Attacks . . .
Her attacks may be defensive but like I said in one of my writings,
“You need defence in a fight,” the reason is that without it you are
just wasting your time and energy fighting against your opponent. It
hurts me to hear that SailorMercury admit that she is the weakest
among the senshi in season one and even without her SailorMoon would
still win the fight. Of course this is true, but to a certain degree. Ami and everyone
else underestimate her true powers. Remember in SailorMoon
SuperS season, the episode where she was able to stop the MOTD by
freezing it and thus giving SailorMoon the chance to annihilate it?
Even the other Inner Senshi were not able to stop it, nor even lay a
finger on the MOTD. So now do you see how important she is to the
group and how strong she can be if she has much more confidence in
herself? I truly believe that her attacks can be as offensive as the
other Inner Senshi, just as long as she believes in her self and
have total control and confidence in her powers.
I've seen real people who are very clever and have a low
self-confidence just like Ami, but they do not dress horribly like
Ami or look like a total nerd! God I want to kill those people in
the animation team. In the manga Ami has more clothes not to mention
they were all very beautiful. As for the anime, Ami keeps on wearing
the same clothes in almost all of the episodes! In the manga she
doesn't look like a nerd who has no sense of style. She looks much
prettier and cooler in there. The injustice that I am talking about
is that most of the senshi have really nice clothes on except for
her (in the anime). It's just not fair for them (the cartoonist) to
make Ami look so old-fashioned. Her clothes seemed like they are
from the Stone Age! |
