Message from Debbie:

I apologize for not getting this out to you sooner, but have been off schedule by the leg and hospitalizations for Tom and myself.

How exciting this is!  Not only our 2nd Anniversary for ChronniesChat, also the 1st Anniversary for ChronniesChatter Newsletter!  The next 2 issues of the newsletter are going to be a tribute to us and what we have accomplished in the last 2 years.

It was very exciting for me last year to do a poll asking you if you thought a newsletter would be a good idea and the response was overwhelmingly in favor.  It was another tool in our arsenal to keep together the group in a supportive way and reach out to everyone.

We got a committee together and decided how we would do the ChronniesChatter of the month, the format and delivery of the newsletter.  It was a blessing that Sandra had and has been taking some classes and as each newsletter grew, so did the terrific newsletter and webpage that we have nowSandra as you MUST have noticed has made the most of her talents and abilities at the webpage she designed and it has grown tremendously, going from a newsletter to a spot where we could brag about having the best pet (mine no contest ;) ), a place where we could see ourselves by having Sandra post our pictures, a tribute page I hope grows no larger for those not with us any longer, and as time goes by the pages change as we grow different, newer pictures and Sandra's extraordinary abilities that she has chosen to share with us. We are very lucky to have her.  Recently some responsibilities were changed to free up Sandra so that she can use her talents in other areas of her life and although it is my fault this newsletter is not on time, I think that many kudo's are in order for her, so that we have this wonderful newsletter to share and have you contribute to now.

It has also become a place of sharing knowledge in print about Insurance, Medical Knowledge and jokes that amuse everyone.  Thanks so much for contributing to making this a great newsletter.  You know you have a success on your hands when you have people trying to get a preview of the next issue.   We could not have come as far as we have without all of you and without Sandra's insatiable quest on how to do things on the webpage better.  I had asked her to list a few of her many accomplishments in the newsletter, and she reluctantly agreed but I feel sometimes that the recognition that she deserves on how she uses what little free time she has should not go unnoticed, for as you know, as she, Tom and myself cannot be Chatter of the month.  So thank you everyone for your input and CONGRATULATIONS  on the First Anniversary of ChronniesChatter.

Stuff about Sandra:

I’ve been taking lots of on-line classes to learn more about web site design and am learning to make graphics too. I’ve put my diplomas on the bottom of the CCNL home page at http://www.geocities.com/chronnieschatter . Right now I have 9 web sites that I work on – here are a couple of them:

My personal web site: http://www.geocities.com/organist925 (Please sign my guestbook if you visit!)

My Sunday afternoon project (putting my pastor’s sermons on-line for the church): http://www.pennswoods.net/~organist925/sermons.htm

My cats and some other chronnies’ pets (still under construction – am moving it from another location): http://www.geocities.com/mewsicalcats

I’m really excited about the response I’ve had to the CCNL web site! There have been over 8400 hits on the site in its first year! Most of the hits have been on the photo gallery http://www.geocities.com/chronnieschatter/gallery_index.htm  and our new greeting cards page: http://www.geocities.com/chronnieschatter/cards.htm. I get a good warm feeling every month when I check the site statistics and find that many of you are checking ahead to see what’s coming up in the next issue even before I get it uploaded to the site! My heartfelt thanks to all of you for the wonderful comments you give me each month and for the encouragement to learn more and make each page even better!

Our Chronnies Chatter Of The Month:

Rather than pick one person this month out of several that truly deserve it, I decided and yes you can shoot me, I make a great target in the wheelchair, to make all of you, past, present and future the Anniversary Chatters of the month.  You have all pitched in and done so much, moderating chats when needed, writing articles when requested, and helping to keep this a great area of support and tightly knit group.  My personal thanks for all of you who have helped me during the past couple of weeks.  YOU are the people who make ChronniesChat and ChronniesChatter GREAT!
