The acutal score was Florida State 26, Miami 14.

It wasn't the Sebastian Janikowski Show again, but it was another notch in the "W" column for the Seminoles, which is more than Nebraska fans have to celebrate today. Also celebrating a "W" is Bill Lott, a Tallahassee graduate of the University of Georgia, who captured this week's PrediXn Derby with the best predixn so far this season, a difference of 1.00. The 'Dogs didn't roll yesterday, but their alum did. Mark Steirer was runner-up with a difference of 1.41, followed by Kurt Siefken (2.00), and, in a tie for fourth, Scott Wilson and Peter Elliot (3.61).

Not an easy week to make the top five. Coming within 10.00 of the actual score didn't even guarantee you a spot in the top TWENTY-five. Gotta love such a great group of prognosticators. On the other hand, maybe this was an easy game to pick, because even the Press did well. Or most of them, anyway:

Next, the Seminoles return to Doak Campbell Stadium for homecoming. Also venturing to Doak will be the Clemson Tigers, re-visiting the site of their last win over the Seminoles. Clemson, of course, is coming off a big win over Maryland, not to be confused with Florida State's smaller scale win over Maryland. Will the Tigers win another one in Doak? Will the Seminoles extend their six-game winning streak over Clemson? And how many times is the "puntrooskie" going to be mentioned in the press this week?
