An ugly win on the field, but Vincent Bell's PrediXn Derby performance was as pretty as Sebastian Janikowski's kicking display in Byrd Stadium. Bell's predixn was FSU 28, Maryland 17 for a Derby-winning difference of 8.06. Bell would also like to remind us that the Tennessee Volunteers are the 1997 SEC Champions. This week's runner-up was Tallahassee's Tom Galvin (9.90), followed by Earl Commander (11.00), Eric Lyman (11.40), and Ron Smith (13.15). Lyman, the "Peruvian Peril," slipped from second to fourth this week, but still made his third straight appearance in the top five.
