Chapter 6

Kathleen couldn't sleep she kept trying to make sense of what the people at her house were talking about. Her mind began to wander and she drifted into a restless sleep.
Kathleen started passing doorways fast making her dizzy. She stopped short in a darkened room and heard scampering noises of small creatures to her right. Murmurs and whispers speak her name in her ear, their breath hot on her cheek. Creaking steps walked up behind her she turns to face them. As she turns the room starts to spin. A crackling laugh explodes in her ears blasting away all thoughts. She plunges through the floor and opens her mouth to scream.
Kathleen woke up with small globes of sweat dropping from her forehead. Trying to forget what she was dreaming. Then noticed someone was in the room with her.
"Shh" softly hissed a voice strangely like Chandra's
"Chandra?" Kathleen whispered.
"Quiet" murmured the voice harshly
"What are you doing here!" uttered Kathleen. First my house now Hannah's, thought Kathleen.
"Shut Up do you want to get us both killed?" by the tone of her voice (however tempted) Kathleen knew better than to say anything else. After what happened at her house she wondered if it had something to do with it. Quickly Kathleen dressed finding Chandra had woken Hannah up first.
Kathleen and Hannah looked at each other. Both nodded their heads; they would follow Chandra. Hannah started to make her way too the front door but Chandra stopped her pulling her down behind the couch. They all heard voices drifting from the living room. Chandra dragged Hannah toward the back door and Kathleen hastily followed. Once outside Chandra started to jog toward the outskirts of town. Looking back Kathleen saw another car pull up into the driveway joining the one that she had seen before at her house.
"What about my parents" Hannah breathed heavily. Though Chandra didn't turn her head Kathleen could tell that she was smiling.
"Hannah I think your parents are fine." That's all they said for sometime. After a while they changed their pace to a walk.
"Where exactly are we going and why should we follow you." Kathleen questioned a little annoyed.
"Well if you want live then your going to want to follow me" Chandra snapped back sounding annoyed herself.
They continued Chandra seamed to know where she was going so Kathleen didn't bother to ask.
"We need to pick the pace up if we want to get to the forest before sun rise." Chandra said softly.
"Why do we need to go to the woods?" Hannah asked.
"It's the only place I could think of." Chandra replied softer than before. They slowly reached the forest. Just as they had entered and stopped to rest a gunshot was fired. A piece of tree flew off dangerously near Kathleen. Panicked eyed the girls ran through the forest. Not looking where she was going Hannah fell and rolled between two trees that had leaned together forming an arch. She didn't come out on the other side!
"Where did she go!?" Kathleen yelled. Chandra glanced back at the gunmen who were hot on their trail. Chandra grabbed Kathleen pushed her though the arch plunging in after. None of them appeared on the other side.
