Chapter 19
Hannah was having a better time with Wisp then she thought. For her Birthday Wisp baked a very large, sweet smelling cake with the words "Happy Birthday Wisp Your 199" on it. After having five pieces of cake Hannah finally had to say no more and let her stomach relax.
"I feel terrible, I should have gotten something for you." Hannah said slouching down more in her chair feeling groggy.
"No, no dearie your all right. But I wouldn't mind it if you took a walk with me." Replied Wisp setting her plate of cake down.
Hannah agreed to the walk saying she needed to get up and move around anyways.
"Oh, I'm so hot," said Wisp she pulled her ragged jacket off and set it to the side. She stood up and stretched giving her narrow gray brittle wings room to move.
"You have wings!" said Hannah amazed and stunned.
"Why, silly me I forgot to mention me old wings," said wisp giving her wings a flick sending them in a slight flutter, "I've had them for so long I just often up and forget about 'em they don't work anyways." Hannah still had a shocked look but continued to help clean up. Once the cleaning was done, they grabbed sacks of food for a picnic and headed out the door. Wisp led Hannah down a twisting path and slowly into a dark cave. In the cave were crystal shards jarring out everywhere, from the walls and ceilings.
"Wow it's so beautiful," remarked Hannah moving around trying to see it all at once. "This is nothing wait till we go further." Said Wisp motioning Hannah to follow; once again she was led down twisting paths but this time she could hear the sound of rushing water. "What's that?" Hannah asked referring to the sound.
"Ah that's a surprise that you'll just have to wait and see. Now hurry I want to get there in time to see it." Hannah was to busy with the sights to worry about what "it" was. The passage widened and the emerged into a large cavern with crystals almost as big as Hannah. In the center of the large underground room was an enormous light blue crystal; behind it was a waterfall flowing into a pit in the ground. So that's the rushing sound thought Hannah to herself, I wonder where it all goes. Hannah started to move towards the waterfall for a closer look. As she made her way to the flowing water, she brushed up against the blue crystal in the center of the room just as an unknown light shinned into to it. There was a slight popping noise and a cackling laugh as Hannah disappeared. The laughing had come from Wisp; Wisp made her way across the cave to the blue shard.
"Comfy?" asked Wisp looking into the crystal and seeing Hannah frozen form inside the crystal. "It really is to bad Ivory should have told you… unless she doesn't know herself. Ah that makes my job much easier." Wisp walked down tunnel like caves her evil cackle bouncing off the walls droning out the waterfall.
