Hi! Welcome to the January, 2004, archived entries for A Butterfly Blogs... Weblogs like this one have been popping up all over the Internet for quite some time now. They are becoming an increasingly popular way to articulate oneself using all means of creativity and self~expression available to the imagination.
The entries contained within the pages of this website represent just a smidgeon of the several thousand links that represent my unusually eclectic web surfing habits. Please feel free to share, and don't forget to respect the copyrights of others..
Peace.. Happy, Safe Surfing!

Pondering on worry stones.. My latest ADHD_Storm_Watch newsletter mentioned spin/worry rings as a suggested gift item for someone with ADHD. That led me to wonder about worry stones that I have personally known about for probably 20 years or more and just heard mentioned in jest on a recent TV show. My wondering is.. With so many friends of mine who are into rocks, just how many of them are AD/HD~***** who need that little smooth, shiny, comforting something to fiddle with in their pockets??

I just CAN'T believe no one has ever told me this before.. There is no Santa?? I particularly loved the quote, "We have no Santa clause," Donzelli said. "We would think that teachers would use better judgment." (Not to mention the mom making the complaint is named Jolly.. :wow:

HUMONGOUS GIGGLE!!!! On a website regarding contacting state and national government representatives, there was a comment that stated those who did not have Internet access should contact their local library to determine their representatives.. Anyone else see the irony in that statement?? (NO! I will not embarrass the site by naming them here, but I will love and adore them that much more for apparently being as human as I tend to find myself, too..
For anyone who may have missed the punchline.. How would anyone who does not have access to the Internet read that post in the first place???

Someone please 'splain this one to me.. Every so often I see a headline that I find myself reading at least three times over because I just KNOW there is some angle I completely missed while reading it the first time. This CNN story about the Journal of National Cancer Institute's release on the link between breast cancer and cigarettes. After all these years and all those warnings, are we to just assume that until this new report just came out, they have been blowing [cigarette] smoke up our bums?

The a$$inineness of it all.. Here we've got zillions being spent on all aspects of this Martha Stewart case (including media expenditure), and then two links above it we see this story on monies being cutback from services necessary to help people dealing with cancer treatment. I don't get it. I just don't flipping get it.....
