What is it with me and snow? I sort of light up when we have it. Very odd. It started snowing here in Uppsala when I came home from Luleå. And it put a smile on my face. We had a lab the other day and I walked back to the main building where our lectures are held in the snow. Large, adorable, white snow flakes fell on me, the temperature was just below freezing and I could have walked on for ever. Do you know how much brighter it gets when snow settles to the ground? It's been dark and miserable, raining, here for a while. But now the snow's come and it is much more cheerful. Not to mention the fact that it's getting colder. More like WINTER - finally. I don't think I am made for summer. I mean, don't get me wrong here, I like summer but I am not cut out for it. I get sunburnt. I get over heated as I have to wear clothes to cover all of me not to let the sun get close. In winter I can wear my lovely new coat. Hmmm, I ought to have a digital camera so I could take a picture of it. I love it so :-) Anyway, in he winter you can wear all the clothes you need to keep warm, and there is also the added fun of playing in the snow. Of course I do love water an awful lot. I guess that if we didn't have summer I wouldn't get to swim in the sea, which I would hate to miss. I cannot decide, do I like winter or summer more? *ponder* Wait a moment, what about fall? This year it wasn't as lovely a season as it was last year. With the leaves all red and yellow and orange lying on the ground and the sun still shining warm. This year it rained most of the time. And the wind was constantly blowing. But I did like fall last year very much. When it's started getting a little colder and you can wear clothes without becoming too warm and you can sit in the sun in a park and read a book for hours. And spring - how about spring? Well, actually I don't know if I like that time of year so much. The snow's turned into mush and everything is dirty. Every plant sends off it's shoots and hay fever is raging. No, I don't particularly like spring. 97-11-30 ![]() ![]() ![]() |
