Stories
People, winter has left the country!
OK, so it hasn't left the entire country, but my part of it. Well, not really my part of it, my part of Sweden is the northern parts, and winter is still there. But winter has left the part of the country where I am at the moment.
It is like Easter down here, with snow melting and the sun is growing bigger and warmer and brighter for every day. Only the snow isn't left on the ground here like where I come from.
I don't want it to be like Easter in January! I want it to be cold, dark and lots and lots of snow in January, like it's always been. (I know that it is now Febuary 1st, but never mind it's been like this for weeks already.)

I never really knew I liked winter this much! I think that if I had moved to somewhere like the south of France or Italy or Spain I wouldn't feel like this. I mean there they don't even get any snow to begin with, but here they do get snow and I just can get over that it doesn't stay.
I am a very strange person, I know that. Who in their right mind would want for it to be cold and dark and miserable? Eh?
Noone, right?
I do. I mean to say I don't necessarily want it to be miserable, but I want to have a proper winter. And that brings cold weather, snow and colds. That I could do without however, colds. I don't want to be sick, I don't approve of it. And as luck has it I am getting a cold at this very moment. I can feel my throat clogging up as I type and I can also not feel my troat after just having finished a nice cup of tea with honey. And if that doesn't mean a cold is creeping up I don't know what is.
You know I take it as a personal affront getting a cold. Why couldn't it have stayed away again? It usually always does. I don't get sick very often at all. Not like my three youngest cousins. Their mother is a doctor and they are constantly on penicillin and they are also constantly getting colds. I have rarely been on penicillin and I rarely get colds, and when I do I cure them with rest, hot tea with lots of honey and also, a given at any illness, "soda-pops" and crackers :)
I used to get a special blanket whenever I was ill too, but now that blanket is half the country away, so I can't have it this time...

Mommy!! I want my mommy...
