Sun 1 - Got home at 6 o'clock. I went to bed. Tim went to getting breakfast. Dry, Maria [Peck] and I went down to the schoolhouse at 4 o'clock to hear Mr. Whipple.
Mon 2 - Helping Tim cut off corn to dry. Aunt Almira [Tillotson] and Maria Peck are here. Have been learning how to make hair wreaths.
Tues 3 - Sarah Bryan died this morn at 4 o'clock. Tim and I have been washing and visiting with Maria [Peck] and Aunt Fanny [Peck]. Dry and Tim have gone to watch.
Wed 4 - Went up to Peter [Bryan]'s in the morning to help them. Mr. ... preached Sarah [Bryan]'s funeral sermon at 2 o'clock. She was very poor but looked very natural.
Thurs 5 - Helped Tim in the forenoon. In the afternoon Maria [Peck], Tim and myself come over to see Aunt Mary. Maria and I are staying here.
Fri 6 - Spent the day with Mother. Have been turning the skirt of my Mohair dress. Peter [Bryan] called just at night. Ma has been spinning for Lott.
Sat 7 - Come up to Tim's in the forenoon helping her some and sewing for myself. Dry is making a wagon box. Sleeping with Maria [Peck].
Sun 8 - Did not go to church. Dry went to carry Maria [Peck] to Berea. Went down to the Center at 4 o'clock to attend Mrs. Lamfear's funeral.
Mon 9 - Tim and I washed in the forenoon. At noon Put come over to have me come home. Pa and Ma was going to Richfield. Jennie [Bryan?] is staying with me.
Tues 10 - Done Mother's ironing. Pa and Ma got home at 6 o'clock. Found the folks all well. It rains hard.
Wed 11 - Put has been to mill and I went down to Mr. Willmot's. Had a good visit with Emma. The rest were all gone.
Thur 12 - Come up to Tim's in the morning. Made Tim a white apron. Went down to Mr. Ensign's to a sing. Rather of a poor sing.
Fri 13 - Got up in the morning sick with a sore throat. Went back to bed at 8 o'clock and did not get up again until 4 o'clock no better.
Sat 14 - Have been a little better today. Tim and I have been a making a quilt to send up to Lib. Jennie Bryan is staying with me.
Sun 15 - Went down to Beebetown to hear Mr. Whipple. Went down to our school house in the afternoon and heard him again. Put and I went over to Mr. Lewis to send some things to Lib.
Mon 16 - Tim and I have been washing. Sherman called a little while. Dry and I went over to Uncle Leonard's to spend the eve with him.
Tues 17 - Ironing and helping Tim cut carpet rags. Went over home just at night to see about going to Richfield.
Wed 18 - Put and I started for Richfield at 8 o'clock. Felt just down sick when I got there.
Thur 19 - Went over in to the fair ground at 10 o'clock. Saw lots of folks and a good exhibition for this year. Went to the dance a little while at the Center.
Fri 20 - Rhoda and Jimmy was married this morning. Helped Aunt do up her work then started for the show again. Mary Gilchrist took first premium for riding. I am sick.
Sat 21 - Done a little washing. To get ready for church. Aunt Fanny [Peck] spent the day with us. It rains like fun. Received a letter from Lib.
Sun 22 - Dry, Tim, Put and Chub went to Royalton to Church and then went to Sherm's. Had a good sing and good visit.
Mon 23 - Washing. Had lots of calls. Mr. Barber and his wife were here to tea. Dry, Tim and Put and Chub spent the eve to W. [William?] Bennett's.
Tues 24 - Done part of the ironing. Went down to Nett [Wait]'s in the afternoon to cut John [Wait]'s hair. Had a house full of company. Expected Geo. Lyman but he did not come.
Wed 25 - Come over home in the morning to stay with Put. Father and Mother have gone to Cleveland to see the sight. Jennie [Bryan?] is here.
Thur 26 - Twisted me some stocking yarn and done the housework. Father and Mother got home at 6 o'clock. Dry and Tim was here to tea.
Fri 27 - Come over to Tim's before they was up. Dry and Tim, Put and Chub started for Elyria to the fair at 8 o'clock. It rained so that we had to stay to Miles [Tillotson]'s all night. I wish I was at home.
Sat 28 - Well we got home at 4 o'clock, clothes all dirt and tired to death. Don't want to go to another fair -- not before tomorrow.
Sun 29 - Darius and I went to Beebetown to church. Come back and called to Nett's. Did not go to the sing. Looked for John [Wait] but he did not come.
Mon 30 - Went down to Nett's in the morning to help her wash. Pa come down and told me Grandma was dead -- died last night at 7 o'clock.
