Tues 1 - Father, Mother, Put and I went to attend Grandma's funeral at 1 o'clock. Stopped at home to supper. Ma is not very well.
Wed 2 - Helped Tim in the forenoon. In the afternoon Tim and I went down to Aunt Sally's after her carpet. It looks very well.
Thur 3 - Tim and I have cut and fitted a dress for Caroline Barber. Went over home just at dark. Stayed all night.
Fri 4 - Come up to Tim's in the morning. Dan and Em and three children was here to dinner. Went down to Nett's to see Mrs. Wait and John.
Sat 5 - Tim and Chub has made the carpet and put it down. George Lyman gave us a short call. He is a tip top good fellow.
Sun 6 - It looked so much like rain we did not go to church. George Walker and wife was here to tea. It has been a long day.
Mon 7 - Tim and I have been washing and I have ironed some. Mr. and Mrs. Barber was here to tea. Come over home just at night.
Tues 8 - Have been making Put a uniform. Ma and I went down to see Mrs. Bryan a few minutes. Heard Nell has got a daughter.
Wed 9 - Have been sewing all day on that uniform. Am tired to death. Uncle John and Aunt come just at night. Pa and Ma have been to Liverpool.
Thur 10 - Went to the fair at Strongsville with Uncle John. Had a good time. Put has gone to the surprise party.
Fri 11 - Have been sewing all day for Mother. Jennie [Bryan?] come down a little while. Am just down sick tonight.
Sat 12 - Am at home yet. Had company all day. Just at dark in come Aunt Polly [Prichard], [her son] Rattie [Erastus] and little Polly. Aunt is going to stay a few days.
Sun 13 - Had the ague in my face so that I could not go to church. Have been visiting with Rattie [Erastus Prichard]. Dry and Tim come over in the afternoon. Had a sing.
Mon 14 - Washed for Mother. In the afternoon went up to Tim's. She had not got through washing. Rattie [Erastus Prichard] has gone to Liverpool.
Tues 15 - Ironed in the forenoon. Had dinner at 11 o'clock. Then went down to Zed [Zadok Tillotson jr]'s. Dry and Tim, Put and I to visit with Rattie [Erastus Prichard]. Staid all night to Zed's.
Wed 16 - Went down to C. Tillotson's with Rattie [Erastus Prichard], also Zed [Zadok Tillotson jr] and his wife [Emily]. Come up to Dry's in the evening. Found a house full. Went over home.
Thur 17 - Staid at home all day visiting with Rattie [Erastus Prichard], Zed [Zadok Tillotson jr] and Ermina. Come up and spent the day. Intended to go to the dance but it rained so that we could not go.
Fri 18 - Got all ready to go to Richfield but it looked so much like rain that we gave it up. Went down to Mr. Tompkins to a sing. Rattie [Erastus Prichard] brought Jennie Bryan home.
Sat 19 - Helping Tim and visiting with Rattie [Erastus Prichard]. It has been a rainy day. Dry and Rattie have been up see them drill but we had to stay at home.
[Perhaps they were watching some militia or new volunteer regiment drill.]
Sun 20 - Went to Brunswick to meeting with Rattie [Erastus Prichard]. After church went down to Zed [Zadok Tillotson jr]'s. Saw Carrie [Tillotson]'s husband [Amos Woodruff] for the first time.
Mon 21 - Done a large wash and Rattie [Erastus Prichard]'s and my ironing. Went down to Zed [Zadok Tillotson jr]'s in the evening to a dance. Had a very good time. Staid there all night.
Tues 22 - Rattie [Erastus Prichard] and I left Zed [ZadockTillotson jr]'s for Richfield at two o'clock. Staid at Uncle John's all night. Found them all well. Rather sleepy.
Wed 23 - Left Uncle's at 8 o'clock for Nelson. Got to Shalersville at 3 o'clock. Stopped there and made a short visit. Got to George [Prichard?]'s at 7 o'clock.
Thur 24 - Well I have been visiting with Emily, [her husband] George [Prichard] and [cousin] Rattie [Erastus Prichard]. Have been picking apples. Rattie has gone to an apple eat. Chub thought best to stay at home.
Fri 25 - Rattie [Erastus Prichard] brought me up to Hattie's in the forenoon. Glad was I to meet her and more. Enjoyed the day. Much visiting.
Sat 26 - Went to a funeral with Chet and Hattie at Parkman. Oh such sing. Worse than Beebetown. 11 o'clock - all to bed.
Sun 27 - Well Hattie has had a house full of company. Went down to Garrettsville just at night to carry Hattie's cousin home.
Mon 28 - Hattie has been washing and I have altered my red dress. Wrote a letter to [brother] Leonard. What a beautiful day. Wish I could ride.
Tues 29 - Hattie and I have had a sugar eat. It was tip top best. Went over to John [Prichard]'s just before noon. Am sleeping with Sarah Myers.
Wed 30 - Staid to John [Prichard]'s until 3 o'clock then come over to Hatties. In the evening Chet, Hattie and Chub went over to Mr. Moberry's. Heard such lots of music and dancing.
Thur 31 - Spent the day to Hattie's. Rattie [Erastus Prichard] come up in the afternoon. Had chickens for tea. Went to a party in the evening to Mrs. Bancroft's. Had a good time.
