These are the coins of Canada!

  • They have been collected from the Royal Canadian Mint
    Each one of them tell a story of Canada. The top side is our Monarch - Queen Elizabeth II


  • $2.00 Polar Bear is native to northern Canada and the Arctic. It is North America's largest land-based carnivore. This coin was designed by Brent Townsend, speciality in the studies of North American wildlife and landscapes. First introduced in 1996.
  • $1.00 The Loon is native throughout the Canadian Wetlands and can be heard calling with a very distinctive call. This coin was designed by Robert-Ralph Carmichael, wildlife artist in 1987. Dubbed the Loonie.

  • $0.50 The Coat of Arms of Canada, honouring the four founding nations of Canada - England, Scotland, Ireland and France. There are two inscriptions, 'A Mari usque ad Mare' (from sea to sea), and 'Dexiderantes meliorem patriam' (they desire a better country). The current design produced by former Royal Canadian Mint engraver Thomas Shingles in 1959.


  • $0.25 The Caribou, represents Canadian Wildlife. It is often seen in northern Canada. The design was first used in 1937 and was designed by Canadian artist Emmanuel Hahn.


  • $0.10 The Bluenose, well known racing schooner of Nova Scotia, winner of many world cups. The design was created by Canadian artist Emmanuel Hahn and first used in 1937.


  • $.05 The beaver, widely recognized as an emblem of Canada is from the days of first explorers. It has been used by the Hudson's Bay Company, Quebec City, City of Montréal, Canada's first postage stamp, Canadian Pacific Railway, to name a few. Designed by Canadian artist, GE Kruger Gray and was first used in 1937.


  • $0.01 The Maple Leaf, has played a major role in Canada's natural landscape, producer of Maple Syrup and a forest industry. The maple leaf also adorns the Canadian Flag and the Coat of Arms of Canada. Designed by Canadian artist GE Kruger Gray and first used in 1937.
