Québec City was founded by Samuel dé Champlain in 1608. Jacques Cartier first visited Gaspé in 1534. Bordering Labrador and Ontario. Summer can see 32°C, while winter can drop as low as -50°C.

- Flag - The flag is 4 white fleurs-de-lis on a blue background with a white cross modelled after the royal coat of arms of France. The shield was granted Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria in 1868. Divided into three horizontal fields, the first bearing three fleurs-de-lis on a blue background, the second a blue-tongued, blue-clawed gold leopard on a red background, and the third three green maple leaves, gold-veined on a gold backbround, topped by the royal crown.
