I) The Rules

1) Keep racial, ethnic, and cultural slurs to a minimum.

2) The message board doesn’t allow foul language. Try to keep swearing to a minimum. You can use words like bitch, ass, asswipe, dumbass etc, etc. But with words like "shit" and "fuck" you should make the effort to replace it with something like sh!t and f---.

3) Do not take anything too personally that's said on the role play board ...... unless it's so blatantly obvious then yes, do take offense. DO NOT take reality into your RP’s and put down a wrestler's handler, remember, it’s just a game. If you have a problem with someone, discuss it in character or on the OOC board, that’s one of the reasons we put it there. Also, please refrain from posting comments under someone's roleplay. If you really feel that you must, keep this in character, and limit yourself to one comment under a roleplay. If you have an OOC comment to make, keep it on the OOC Board, that's what it's for. We don't want to see snide, viscious, insulting remarks under someone's roleplay unless it's in character, and as stated already limit this to one per roleplay. Keep in mind how this looks to people visiting the UWF for the first time, frankly it looks like hell.

4) Do not include other wrestlers that you are feuding with in your rp's. IE don't write an rp where you beat your enemy senseless and leave him for dead, however, you may include stable mates and tag team partners. But REMEMBER, credit will be given to the handler that wrote the rp, and not to the others that you include in your rp.

5) And for all you sore losers out there, if you lose, hey, you lose, sh!t happens. Don’t come whining to us about it cause all decisions are drawn down the middle and based not on sucking up, but on the handler’s performance in the fed.

II) Character & Stable Creation

1) ORIGINALITY! We cannot stress this enough in this fed. Your wrestler must be 100% original, meaning that you cannot, under any circumstances, use/rip-off a character from the real thing! That means, no Bret Harts, Stone Cold Steve Austins, and HBK's. Can you create a character with a similar name? NO! We don't wanna see any applications with Stone Cold Chillin Dylan's, or HBK Shawn McDuff's. 100% originality folks, abide by it, or die by it.

2) Theme Music. Get your OWN theme music from an existing band make it up if you have to. Don't use the theme music of a real time wrestler.

3) Finishing moves and set-up/optional finishers. If you are going to use the finisher of a real time wrestler (which I'm sure most of you will) then name it something else. If your wrestler if gothic, and your finisher is that of Stings "Scorpion Death Drop" then name it something like "The Falling Darkness", but use your imagination.

4) How many wrestlers are you allowed to have? At the most, you may have two, or one tag team. Which ever you may decide.

5) Sometime in your career in the UWF, you'll come up with the plan of forming a stable. Once again, originality comes into effect! When naming your stable, use your imagination, and don't rip-off ideas from real time feds, like the nWo or D-X. Just come up with something that's original, and the same goes for the stable's theme music.

III) Wins & Angles

1) Winning is based on role playing. RP at least twice a week, the better quality RP’s, the greater your push. Remember, quality, length, and frequency, in that order decide who wins and who doesn't. Someone who RP’s twice a week will lose to someone who RP’s once everyday. Someone who rp's everyday but without quality, will lose to someone who roleplays once a day and possesses quality. Also, keep in mind that we expect a minimum of one roleplay per week, if you can't do this and you do not have an excuse that the President has approved you will be released. Generally you will be given a grace period in most cases, but once you have been given your "seven day warning" you had better start participating or you will be released. If you get released from the fed for lack of participation, it will be very difficult to get back in again. For info on how to roleplay, see "Roleplaying For Dummies" below.

2) Sneak attacks are most definitely allowed, but keep in mind that they can backfire. Random attacks are the least of our cares, if your gonna attack someone, put it up with an angle or something. If you have a great feud going, or just wanna get revenge, you are able to send us an angle and we’ll work it into the card. However, if you send us a sneak attack against someone for no apparent reason, then we probably won’t give a damn about it. Though we are open for debate. Angles are accepted from everyone, but you will have a much better chance of it being used in a card if you are actively participating in the fed. If you're on the Roster but not actively role playing then don't bother sending us an angle because it wont be used.

3) All angles must be mailed in 24 hours before the card! Anything after that will not be included in the card. Also, roleplays count up until midnight EST the night before the card you are aiming for. The only time this changes is for PPV events or unusually large cards. In this case the deadline will be twenty four hours before the event.

Role Playing
For
Dummies

1) First off, each role-play must have a point, a situation, or a story line that must be outlined and established. There’s no point in writing a one lined role-play to let someone know they’re gonna die or get the stuffing kicked outta them.

2) Each role-play should be at least three decent paragraphs long, no one liners will be bothered with or even counted as a role-play. If you're gonna do three small roleplays a day, it would be better that you do one long one per day. Trust me, it's worth while and you'll get a greater push! Remember, quality over quantity.

3) Don’t bother eating up ten pages of space with swearing, shooting out threats, and pointless comments. Get your message across, and then move onto the next subject. One more note to this in regards to the text of the role-plays. Please, don't use all caps, it pisses everyone off, including the staff! You are encouraged to use HTML in your role-plays, and if you want, you can add links, music, and graphics . . . BUT NO ADVERTISEMENTS!!!

4) Spelling and grammar tends to count, but not always. It’s all right if you make some errors, as long as it’s legible. And as for all you out there that love to write on how someone else can’t spell or doesn’t use the spell checker on their computer, don’t bother, you know what they’re getting at so role-play about the content.

5) And finally, many of you have gimmicks that may require your wrestler to be stupid, moronic, and pathetic. It’s OK to role-play about something completely different that has nothing to do with anything. You are expected to play your gimmicks in your rp's, they're not there just for show.
