| The Last Meal The Doggfather has come a long way since 93's Doggystyle, Snoop's now CEO of Doggystyle Records. And with his platinum sell Tha Eastsidaz & and a female act Doggy's Angel, set to drop a record later this summer, he's proven himself more than a rapper. But don't get it twisted: He still has plans for those smooth rhymes. Dr. Dre will have more input on Snoop's upcoming LP, The Last Meal, than any joint since the Doggy Dogg jumped into the No Limit Tank. And with production from Swizz, Timbaland, and Battlecat, best believe he's aimin' for the bleachers again. This is the first time I've had complete control over my solo album," says Snoop about the record, which will be his last on No Limit/Priority. "Fans can expect Snoop at his best and a couple of surprises." Fans can get a taste of 21 Century N.W.A on The Last Meal. Surprisingly, the cut is not produced by Dre but by Timbaland. It features Ice Cube, MC Ren, Lady of Rage & Nate Dogg. Other surprise guests behind boards include Kid Capri as well as Swizz Beats on a song tentatively titled "We Can Get Crazy" ("That shit is wicked," coments Snoop. "It's a club banger. Me & Swizz Beats stayed in the studio 'til 'bout six in the mornin' puttin' that shit down.") Ruff Ryder First Lady & former Aftermath signee Eve also checks in. Those surprised by the appearance of these East Coast heads shouldn't be, contends Snoop. "We always been friends," he says. "The game is built on this: You respect people's shit, they respect your shit. I don't have no ego. The game is built on challengin' [yourself] & bein' able to step outside your realm & work with other producers & change the game & make hit records." Snoop had Dr. Dre mix "No Back Trackin'," a mezmerizing track produced by Meech Wells that features the one-of-a-kind vocals of George Clinton & the Brides of Funkenstein. "On [that song,] I basicalyy tell the record label, Priority, it's the last mothafuckin' time they gonna eat off me," he says. "And I forecast my career from 1992 to 2000.
