The actual score was Florida State 54, Southern Mississippi 14.

Matt Bourland vaulted from a seventh place finish in the Wake Forest game to first this week with a difference of 2.24. Runner-up Kurt Siefken (6.08) recorded his fourth top-five finish this season. However, Siefken was unable to take the lead in top-five finishes this season, because Allen Risley (5th, 8.06) also made a fourth visit to the top five. Bob Stuke, Jr, (3rd, 6.40) and Mike Threapleton (4th, 7.21) round out this week's top five.

Next up for the Seminoles, a trip down to Miami to play Maryland. Yeah, the Terps took the big bucks to move their home game down to Joe Robbie Stadium.
