APOSTASY |
|
One of the things that should clarify before entering in the main accusation is the definition of this expression that is not very well-known but like we will see the understanding of the concept that it implies then it can end up being the key to understand the problem clearly to which we are faced. The word in question is Apostasy. |
It is not common the use of this term. We usually learn how to use this word, when we have relationship with some religion. Their meaning be probably ignored, because where it has been used and it is continued using the term almost with exclusivity it is in religious environments. There it is where it is used to express the condition or the state of who abandons a religion, be to pass to other or to none.
We will see that this use of the word " Apostasy " that give it the Christian religions doesn't have relationship with the biblical concept. That the application that gives it the sacred text is referred to the context of a people and not that of individuals. That it is directed to the leaders and corrupt shepherds of the Christendom and not indiscriminately to any human that is in the process of necessary changes in the search of the Truth.
We will see that is alter this term with the objective of accusing victims of the crime that make the delinquent; to subject the man and it doesn't to illuminate it. All this constitutes another symptom more than the Apostasy that suffers the Christianity,
We will see the importance that has to understand this concept to be able to understand other things. We will discover that, although the word is ignored, the concept " apostasy " is of utility to be able to understand facts and the man's behaviors in any land of the human activity.
It will be easy to see in daily attitudes, in facts common of the life, and along the whole human history, the relationships and mainly the too near relationship that it exists between " apostasy " and the concepts of Corruption and Adulteration of the Truth. That it is not only limited to the environment of the spiritual doctrines, but rather, understanding and leaving of the correct concept, we will be able to see that I lower the surface of apparent normal behaviors, it hides a very human inconducta, characteristic of the culture of this planet and closely bound and taken root with the percentage of acceptable corruption, that is to say, with the lie dose and adulteration of the truth that we allow ourselves to have and to tolerate. This is the measure and the percentage that we decree and we admit as indispensable minimum to act in the life according to our earthly way of to see and to understand all things.
To apostatize according to the optics of the dictionary
(Spanish), and according to the version and the pattern that we take, it would mean:|
APOSTASY To deny the faith. Deviation of the original faith. To abandon the beliefs in that one has been educated. For ext., To abandon a faction to enter in other; or to change opinion or doctrine. |
We could bring more definitions, but we believe that these are enough to have an idea, to begin and to come closer to the essence of what is wanted to express when we speak of Apostasy.
If we make an analysis of the definitions that gives the Spanish dictionary, we observe that:

Firstly because it is defined by The Spanish Academy.
Then because well it is known that the whole culture of Spain, always have being faithful to the Catholic Papacy, from the half age still until Franco's death, adherence of the one which still nowadays cannot come off.
Because in Spain and in all their former colonies, to be Christian was and it is still to be Catholic." Maybe don't still have in clear that the whole Hispanic culture, although doesn't want it, it is deeply Catholic, even when some is declared non religious.
Then we have in this particular case that when one says: to deny, I deviate or to abandon, it should be read": to deny the Catholicism", to deviate from the Catholicism to another religion " y/o " to abandon the Catholic church."
This way, this way expressed, it sounds more than agreement to the real concept that was in mind when giving the definition and to publish the dictionary, of the heirs of the culture that I leave the Spanish inquisition after long centuries of political power and cultural domain.
Even when the Academy of the Spanish language hides the source of this definitions, what cannot hide is that:

Are we afraid to the clear definitions? To who do we fear him?
Should not we speak so clearly for not offending the susceptibility of the other churches?. Should not we attack with violence, to those that secretly denominate pejoratively: the Protestant heretics", or the murderous Jews of God and of the prophets?"
Or maybe because in definitive truth we should remain silent, not for the respect and love, but for the no-aggression pact between partners and copartners of the same business?

Let us say that for the reformist boys of the north, they have not found better explanation for the word Apostasy that the definition of the dictionary imposed by the Catholic church, and they use it in the same way in that the inquisition makes it, that is to say with intimation and repressive way.
When they make this, kindly they forget their poor and just origin, and they assume the paper mediocre and corrupt that they objected in you, in times of their rebellious birth. They renounce of their roots and they assume that what you defined in corruption, very defined it is.
The fools, doesn't understand that on this way their primitive critical to you, when being judged by this law they should be considered Apostate; therefore we can reach the conclusion that they this way, when accepting the Catholic definition, accept and they say of themselves that they have apostatized from their origin.
Of course that before similar accusation they would run to verify the law that the condemnate them, and they would try to give another explanation of the same one, being surely contradicted like it is very common in them
Will it be this way, the concept of the word " apostasy " that the divine wisdom tries to give us through the writings? So snub, so sectarian, so of political party, so contradictory with the freedom of looking for the Truth?
Definitively it doesn't fit with an Universal, intelligent and just God.
With all this, maybe and let us don't still understand what means Apostasy, but I believe we will agree for yes to understand for it discards, what doesn't mean to apostatize.
To change one or several points of view, he/she doesn't have to do with this. Changing point of view is almost unavoidable part of the search process and learning in any study that is faced with seriousness.
It is more any Church including The Catholic, when they preach us, when they challenge us to the regret, they ask us expressly that we change our point of view. and that it is the regret but a real and deep " change "?.

Definitively to change religion or of church it is not the idea of what was wanted to express formerly. Let us should probably look for it the definition in another side.
We intends to show that that of the dictionary doesn't have anything in common and it is diametrically opposed to the definition and use that expressed the Bible and its teachings on this same topic. We should suppose with the whole right that the Bible like authorized word of God, has much more validity in the definitions that the word of any human, be what is, and without caring of what masquerades to explain to us its mortal thoughts.
When we study the biblical text, confronting it with the definitions of the religions, we also meet with the unpleasant surprise, that indeed an abysmal distance exists among the doctrinal concept of the writing and the political concept that the priests fenced to dominate mind, spirit and soul.

The word " apostasy " is used in several biblical passages by the prophets of The Lord God to point out to the people, not to each one, but to the group of men and families, the Israeli decadence, the corruption, the fall from its original position, or the loss of its first state. When the prophets denounced Apostasy, they expressed that this era caused by the rejection from the people to God and their Truth, not for the rejection or it criticizes their leaders, or because some isolated Israeli spent to adore the Ra of the Egyptians, or to the Baal of their neighbors. This was solved individually, with each person in question.
For the whole system Jewish - Christian, to reject to God is to reject the Truth or to reject the Truth it is to reject to God.

We have seen then that what the religious condemn in general is the fact that an individual possesses a religion and then move away from her or it simply changes it for another. We have also seen that The Writings, explain to us that Apostasy is to abandon a people The truth or to rebel against God. Sew very different to each other.

It can still be that it seems that we are being about the same thing. If we examine thoroughly we will see a great distance between an example and another.
Among simply to abandon the nimbleness of a belief, of a supposition, for the stability of the knowledge of a truth, and to abandon the responsibility that grants the knowledge of the truth, for the simplicity of a belief.
What will the bad thing be? To change a belief for a truth? or to change a truth for a belief.?. It can be that he/she makes some more transcendent spiritual sense, the fact that somebody possesses a truth and then he/she leaves it.
To help us to understand the difference better between the religious version of Apostasy and that of the Writings, let us take a supposed history by way of parable.
Let us think of a doctor that through time, effort and a lot of work, he/she discovers some important truth in the cure of an illness, until that incurable moment.
In this example, this doctor, not alone it checked in the laboratory, but rather parallelly in their clinic, it could benefit several men and women with their new medicine. He/she did with their own eyes, and with complete understanding given in the quantity and quality of their experiences that its discovery, produced highly positive results. He/she could understand and to understand convincingly, without doubts that he/she had in their hands the truth that would liberate to many of a pain and hopeless death.
But..... for some reason, perhaps because he/she understood, or because they helped him to understand that this good one new he/she would go against other you interest that this would put in risk the stability of some industry, or because the work of other, would depend that the things continued like they were that its product would affect the business of some economic groups, this doctor began to consider the possibility to have to leave this work.
That if he/she didn't understand this, and if he/she wanted to continue helping their patients with their new one it formulates, it should be exposed to persecutions or pressures.
Probably for things as these, he/she began to see that their life, profession and stability was in danger; and on the other hand that would not win enough to its rewards and efforts with its work, and that unless it put agreement between its attitudes and the interests of certain powerful laboratories, they would get up on him and its family a dangerous persecution. Perhaps it considered that with less efforts it could continue living comfortably him and his, without being exposed, to so many risks.
Maybe they originated more reasons than the exposed ones, but the concrete thing is that, the man of our history abandoned his investigation works, and he wanted to leave aside what his knowledge proposed him, he/she wanted to be as the other ones and him his no longer benefited more to anybody.
The fear was imposed to the benefit of a deep joy singular that for on this, it would take certain solution to problems of other men's life. This failure, and the fear prevailed on its investigation and its desires of reaching new knowledge. Their work was not already so exciting, as it had been before it, the search of the truth already began to be displaced of its position by the simple routine task, and the deep joy, replaced by the bonus of not being dead. The solid truths gave place to compassionate lies. The clear concepts were changed by truths without enough confirmation.
Certain it is that this history doesn't have name, but certain it is also that he/she could have the one of many of us.
If we see carefully, this apostasy or corruption of truths that save take place with people that has some vital truth and then for some reason he/she abandons her. It cannot make the act of apostatizing or of corrupting somebody that doesn't have acquired knowledge of some truth, because to such a man it could not be made responsible of deviation, abandonment or to deny something when still at least he/she knows it. A little more than deviation it will worsen their situation, notably?
Whom will be able to accuse of irresponsibility, to that that not having something to give, does continue without having, or to that that having to give, did anything give because for fear it deviated and did it bury their talent and didn't it let that this gave their fruit?
