Chapter 16
"All right," said a crackling voice waking Hannah up, " you have had enough time aren't you rested yet?" Hannah opened her eyes and saw the old wrinkled face starring back. "Now then are you going to get up or not?" Hannah sat up and bonked her head on the low ceiling above her.
"Ouch" said Hannah and a few things she shouldn't of. The old lady laughed so hard, Hannah was afraid she causes herself a heart attack.
"That never gets old I love-" she didn't finish because she was overwhelmed with another fit of laughter. Looking around her surroundings Hannah saw she was in a house that looked to be entirely made out of clay, with very low ceilings. Her bed was made in the shape of a cone (like the kind you find in beehives.) The lady had finally stopped laughing.
"You hungry dearie? I have some honey cakes made 'em me self." The woman held out a crude plate heaped with sweet looking buns. "Yes please, Uh.."
"Wisp, me names Wisp and you must be Hannah the forest has been talking about you." Hannah grabbed one of the hot cakes its aroma even satisfying her stomach.
"Oh do you know Ivory then?" said Hannah hopefully, a strange looked danced across Wisp's face before she answered.
"Why of course we go way back did you know I'm turning one-hundred an ninety-nine tomorrow?"
"One-hundred-ninety-nine?" said Hannah swallowing a mouthful of roll.
"I know I know I don't even look fifty don't worry it comes to a shock to most people." Hannah really wanted to say you look like you're at least a million! But instead she just nodded her head in amazement. It was then Hannah noticed that Wisp wore nail polish; it was yellow and black at the tips.
"What lovely nails you have." Said Hannah finishing her roll; Wisp gave her another before replying.
"Yes would you believe that they have looked like this all my life?" what that didn't make sense unless of course she didn't have nail polish remover. Duh thought Hannah to herself why would she have nail polish remover the nearest store is in the next dimension.
