First Show of the Summer. We revealed the first book in our Oprah - An Online Bookclub bookclub. It was an essay entitled "Admitting You Have Flaws: Now What?". Discussion was saved for next week. It was also the premiere of Hank Lazard's new segment, The San Francisco Dump. This segment resulted in a phone call from San Francisco. Caller David Malloy was very concerned. It turns out he had nothing to worry about. Also worthy of a note is the fact that The Famous Ashtray is now playing Birmingham Local Music. Birmingham Bands should go to the Blazeradio Local Music Page for more information. |
We opened up the phone lines and the email lines for our first discussion period of Oprah - An Online Book Club bookclub. Unfortunately, the phone lines were down during the show. Hank didn't read the essay. We received one email from Theresa. Theresa also did not read the essay. Hank really stuck it to Inside Edition co-host in this week's The San Francisco Dump. We played more Birmingham local music. |
Oprah - An Online Book Club Bookclub revealed its second book. Email was open for comments. Phones were open for comments. Essays were available for distribution in the hallway. We received one phone call from loyal listener Jennifer (formally of the Cheese and Toast Show). She made the statement that after reading the book she believes that good looking people buy peaches and ugly people buy pears. Hank was asked to comment on this comment, but he had not read the book. A debate was refueled as to whether Hank Lazard watches "Doc" on PAX TV or if it just happens to be on when he is in the room. We played more Birmingham local music. |
Not much. Hank wanted to knock off early and eat a sandwich, but we toughed it out. Although the phones and emails and request lines were open, we didn't get much action. However, the guys from Blazer Arcade wandered down and requested Kelly Osborne. We played more Birmingham local music. |
We revealed a new book as part of our Oprah - An Online Book Club Bookclub. The phones and email lines remained silent, but Capn Hardcore of Fandango Fever stopped by for the show and participated in the Oprah - An Online Discussion of the Oprah - An Online Book Club Bookclub. We played more Birmingham local music. |
