The second installment of Hank's comprehensive weekend sports update in Knuckleballs and Punt Returns: A Sports Odyssey Since the last two weeks sports reviews have been less than comprehensive, in the future the word "comprehensive" will no longer be used to describe Knuckleballs and Punt Returns: A Sports Odyssey. There was a brief commentary defending our segment "Ann Reynold's Pick of the Week". We want to make it clear that Ann Reynold's Pick of the Week was conceived before what may or may not be some controversy surrounding UAB's current President. Hank and I had planned on having a more heated debate on this issue but feared such an open discussion would diminish the good name and character of The Famous Ashtray, therefore we held a private executive session, the content of which cannot be made available to the public. On the music front, we began a trend of highlighting one artist per week. Hey! This is radio. This is college. We began with REM. |
This weeks featured artist: Neil Young Neil hates CDs. Find out why and find out how DVD audio is the next big thing. I Beta you didn't know that! |

This weeks featured artist: Rolling Stones Sometime during the past week, former star of ventriloquism karaoke and current co-host of The Famous Ashtray, Hank Lazard, joined the Raelean cult. This caused a heated arguement that was not based on ideas or ideologies, rather it was based on the fact that Hank had made his Raelean robe out of one of my pillowcases. Hank insists we post a link to the Raelean site. Two weekends. Two great films. Check out Ghostworld. |
This weeks featured artist: Beatles (Part I of II) Parents Night! Oh, and Hank is still a Raelean. |
