January/February 2001

January 14th 2002

First show of the semester.
Blazeradio DJ Dangerman Dave joined the webcast to discuss the absence of co-host Hank Lazard. Famous Ashtray co-host Hank Lazard owed Dave 280 dollars. On the last show of last quarter, Hank promised to pay Dave back by New Years.

Dave told the story of New Year's Eve, when he and Hank went to Marty's, a local bar. Before the night was over, Hank excused himself and tried to leave. A chase ensued, resulting in punches thrown and the debt being paid.

Hank showed up a half hour late, well after Dave had left the station. Hank's version of the story was similar, except he claimed punches were thrown before he had a chance to pay off the debt. It is questionable as to whether Hank will show up on time or if he will opt to avoid Dave in the future.

The rest of the show included a new segment from Hank, Nuts from Nards.
Halfway through the show Hank began choking on a pretzel and passed out, but he is fine.

Although Hank did not arrive at the station on time, it appears as though he and Dangerman Dave have resolved their differences. Hank agreed to arrive on time next week.

Hank brought a friend. His friend was a sock puppet named Vicki Delaney, not to be confused with our producer, Vicki Delaney.
Hank also suppied another segment of Nuts from Nards.

The Golden Globes were a fiasco. Has the Hollywood Foreign Press gone completely mad?
We decided to give out our own awards with the following results:
Favorite Actor in a Television Program: Charlie Sheen
Favorite Actress in a Television Program: Charlie Sheen
Outstanding Cinematography in a
Television Miniseries or Variety Program:
Charlie Sheen
Outrageous Onstage Performance at a Galleger Concert: Charlie Sheen

Free Candy
As part of a psychological experiment, I decided to put out two jars of free candy on a small table outside the station.
One jar was labeled Candy.
One jar was labeled Poisoned Candy.
Each jar contained randomly assorted miniature Hershey bars.
If a person wanted a piece of candy from the "Candy" jar, he/she could take one.
If a person wanted a piece of candy from the "Poisoned Candy" jar, he/she had to sign a waiver form.
6 people took candy. 2 people took poisoned candy.

Presidents Day. We eached dressed as our favorite Presidents of the United States.
Jason dressed as Abraham Lincoln.
Vicki (not the producer) dressed as Millard Fillmore.
Hank dressed as Randy the Macho Man Savage.

Hank complained that the shows were becoming boring and suggested livening things up with an interview. I had to remind him of the Richard Dreyfus incident last semester. When you get a big star in the station like Richard Dreyfus, common sense would suggest treating him with respect. But Hank gives a hot foot to the academy award winner.
