Further Exploration
As your students become comfortable with paragraph structure, it may be fun to apply their new knowledge to a real life activity such as, writing a short story, writing a letter to a business, writing an editorial for the school newspaper, writing e-mail to friends, creating a class newsletter, and whatever else that allows the students to apply their knowledge to an AUTHENTIC ACTIVITY.

AUTHENTIC ACTIVITIES are beneficial to your students because they help your students begin to associate real world tasks that actually my be important to them someday.  By practicing these real world tasks at a young age, students will benefit greatly.
