ALMUNECAR is a sizeable resort in the Costa Tropical. From here we went up to the hills to see tropical fruit research, such avocado. LAS ALPUJARRAS has a unique ecology and climate, sheltered by the mountain ranges from cold and summer heat, with a constant supply of irrigation water from the Sierras. Around here, we saw people still use traditional irrigation systems.

The other sizeable resort in the Costa Tropicale is also the centre of production for Cheirimoyas, the custard apples. From here we go up to the hill to see tropical fruit research.

The district to the south of the Sierra Nevada range. Comprising fertile, well-watered valleys and ravines. Extensive growing of olives, vines, almonds and other fruit crops.
The picture shows the traditional irrigation systems.
