Jason McGlone, and Steve Pollack were vicorious in the
first game of the 2001 MFL Season, 105-91, over the team
of Mike Bielen, Steve Gelatko, Nick Perhonitch, and Tom
Tepovich. Both teams battled the rain and slick field
conditions throughout the game with the winning team
overcoming an early deficit by capitalizing on turnovers
and defensive stops during the second half of the game.

The
team of Steve Gelatko, Jonathan Jadush, Tim Matula, and
Chris Perhonitch were victorious in the return of the MFL
to Alternative Field in Kelyares, 91-56. They defeated the
team of Mike Bielen, Jason McGlone, Nick Perhonitch and
Steve Pollack who were unable to overcome a key injury and
clutch defensive stops during the second half of the game.
Tim Matula broke the game open with an interception return
the length of the field and the winning team sealed the
victory with an interception by Jonathan Jadush in the end
zone during the next series. Both teams battled the hot
and humid weather conditions during the final game of the
2001 season.
