SCORE:
150-148
Almost
a year after the smallest margin of victory was recorded,
history repeated itself has the team of Nick Perhonitch,
Mike Bielen, Steve Gelatko, and Tim Matula won 150-148
with a late game comeback from a two possession deficit
against the team of Chris Perhonitch, Jason McGlone,
Stevie Pollack, and Tom Tepovich. The game came down to
the finial possession with the winning team escaping two
near interceptions, by Stevie Pollack and Jason McGlone,
to score a touchdown followed by the game winning two
point conversion catch by Mike Bielen. The key reason for
the victory was the conversion of all three two point
conversions by the winners. The early part of the game was
dominated by defense with a number of stops on both sides,
however the second half of the game saw alot of big plays
offensively which determined the outcome of the
game.

SCORE:
100-83
On
a beautiful fall afternoon, the team of Mike Bielen, Nick
Perhonitch, Brian Oaks, and MFL newcomer Josh Tom were
victorious 100-83. The key to victory, over the team of
Jason McGlone, Nathan DeBalko, Jonathan Jadush and MFL
newcomer Bumper, was the stifling defensive effort during
the first half of the game which helped the winning team
get off to a fast lead. Both defenses played extremely
well with both sides making key plays to stop potential
scoring drives. Mike Bielen and Nathan DeBalko both led
their respective defenses with two interceptions each and
Josh Tom sealed the victory with another interception.

12th
ANNUAL "THANKSGIVING CLASSIC" GAME
EXHIBITION
GAME
1 PLAYED
ON
11/25/00 FINAL
SCORE:
98-91
Both team fought off the cold weather and snow covered
playing conditions at this year's "Thanksgiving
Classic" Game. Unfortunately, Jason McGlone quit
after a controversial pass interference call between him
and Mike Bielen. At the time Jason McGlone quit, the
team of Tim Matula, Brian Oaks, Steve Pollack, and Jason
McGlone were leading 98-91 over the team of Steve
Gelatko, Mike Bielen, Mark Koldesko, and Jonathan Jadush.
Both teams moved the ball well on offense, due to the
slippery field conditions, and came up with big defensive
stops to keep the game close. Since the game was not
completed, no records or stats will count towards the
individual standings this year. Another "Thanksgiving
Classic" in the books and now the countdown
to the next year's
game begins.
