WEEK 5: July 22 - 26
Poet-in-Residence: PHILIP TERMAN
Workshop: Title: "From Your Life to the Poem's Life"
Description: Through workshopping, we'll share ideas, generate exercises, examine techniques, admire favorite poems, discuss poetics - all towards the goal of becoming more attuned to the poetic possibilities arising out of your daily lives. How can you shape them into poems that contain the mysterious force (what Lorca called the "duende") that gives each its "life spirit"? Feel free to bring current work, but you'll also receive suggestions for in-class and overnight assignments.
M-F 8:30-10:30 a.m., CLSC Alumni Hall
