WEEK 4: July 15 - 19

Poet-in-Residence: GREG KUZMA

Workshop: Title: "The Natural Genius of the Language"

Description: America's creative writing industry has millions of professionals administering awards and degrees -- but poems themselves are free! My beginning students write better than the poets in the literary quarterlies. They do so by telling their truth and trusting the language.

M-F 8:30-10:30 a.m., CLSC Alumni Hall

Prose Writer-in-Residence: JOYCE SCHENK

Workshop: Title: "A Writers' Journal: Your Personal Goldmine"

Description: The sessions will focus on developing a writer's journal as a storehouse of materials for use in any type of writing project. Such proven techniques as word portraits, altered points of view, memory joggers and dialogues will be used to record the participant's unique observations and experiences.

M-F 1-3 p.m., CLSC Alumni Hall
