Oblique - Slanted.

Obtuse - An angle greater than 90 degrees.

Odd number - A whole number (Integer) which is not divisible by two. When divided by two, there is a remainder of one, the answer ends in one-half (0.5 or 1/2). An odd number ends in 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9. See Even number.
See the explanation on Divisibility Tests.

One - .

Ones - .

Operation - .

Opposite - .

Opposite leg - The side of a right triangle across from the measured angle. The side of a right triangle which does not have the vertex of the reference angle (measured angle) as an endpoint. The side of a right triangle not adjacent to (next to) the measured angle. See trigonometry.

Opposite numbers - Two numbers which add up to zero. One number is positive; the other is negative. The numbers have equal magnitude but not the same value. See absolute value, opposite signs.

Opposite side of a triangle - The side of a triangle across from the measured angle. The side of a triangle which does not have the vertex of the reference angle (measured angle) as an endpoint. The side of a triangle not adjacent to (next to) the measured angle.

Opposite side of a quadrilateral - The side of a quadrilateral across from the measured side. The side of a quadrilateral which does not have an endpoint of the measured side as an endpoint. The side of a quadrilateral not adjacent to (next to) the measured side.

Opposite signs - One number is positive; another is negative. See absolute value, opposite numbers.

Order - .

Order of a computation - The class of the approximate number of steps it takes to complete a given computation or type of computation (algorithm, expressed in terms of one or more of the following: linear (n), power (nm), factorial (n!), logarithm (log(n)), etc. or a combination of the above. For example, a procedure (algorithm) may be of order n2log(n). Coefficients for scaling the relative value of each type of order are generally inconsequential. Order of an expression - The highest power of an expression. Names:
0=constant,
1=linear,
2=quadratic,
3=cubic,
4=quartic, etc.

Ordered pair - .

Origin - .

Output - .
