Height - .

Horizontal - Parallel to the x-axis. Having zero slope. Having a constant graph. Perpendicular to vertical.

Hyperbola - A conic section in a plane having greater slope than the side of the cone. The graph of an inverse relation (has the form xy=k). A hyperbola is bounded by two intersecting lines (asymptotes) which it approaches along a smooth curve but never reaches. See parabola, ellipse, circle, proportion.

Hyperbolic paraboloid - . A saddle shape or potato-chip shape.

Hypotenuse - The longest side of a right triangle. The side opposite the right angle in a right triangle. See the explanations on Finding Distances and Square Root. See also trigonometry.
