My younger brother just loves this game. I don't know why, he just does. We rented it one afternoon, and he went crazy over it and bought it. Now, I didn't really care for it that much. The graphics are pretty bad, but it does have a whole lot of stuff you can do. The main game objective is to get to the top of the Monster Tower that is at the farthest northern point of your home town. And believe me, this is no easy task. Along the way, you pick up money, weapons, and items. However, there is a catch. Once you exit the tower, you have to start all over again at level 1. And you lose all your health and experience you gained before. Now some of you may say, "What's the fun in that?" And I reply, "I don't know." But my brother loves this game. He spent over 80 hours on this game! Can you believe that?
One of the extra things you can do in the game is try and get all of the girls in town to be your girlfriends. It's kind of weird. Another thing you can do, is when you gain enough money from the tower, you can add things to your town like a theatre, bowling alley, race track, casino, and other things. I guess it can be fun if you're willing to put in the hours.
Another important thing about this game, is the familiar. A familiar is a monster side-kick that helps you in the tower. As it gains levels, however, it keeps them. This makes it easier when you return as a weakling over and over and over again.
In my opinion, Azure Dreams is a rather average game, but my brother just loves it, so it's all a matter of opinion.
