Brrrrr. Ever get chills up your back while watching a scary movie? How about while playing a game? No? Well, prepare to do just that! Silent Hill takes Resident Evil to a new level of horror! Where as in RE, things would pop out of the walls to scare you, in Silent Hill, the mere ABSENCE of other life leaves you feeling frightened! And when other life DOES show up... watch out!
This game is really fun to play, just like it's fun to watch a scary movie or ride a rollercoaster when you're scared of hieghts. You play it to GET scared! The graphics are a little grainy and unfantasic, but everything else makes this game really shine!
You play Harry Mason who just wrecked his car on the outskirts of the town Silent Hill. You awaken to find that your daughter is nowhere to be found! Quickly, you walk into town to find her, but when you get there, it's obvious something is wrong... the entire town is devoid of life! A heavy fog has also descended upon the town, making it difficult to see (and thus giving the game developers a little room for making a large town for the player to explore...). As the game progresses, you find a radio that emits static every time monsters approach. This REALLY hieghtens the mood of the game. You may not be able to see anything, but when that radio is making noise, you better be running!
The horror aspects and the sometimes-difficult puzzles really make this game a true challenge, and a joy to play!
