Now that you understand the basics of creating and planning a website, it's time to work on the content, design and navigation. Equally important are content, design and usability. Users will not return to a site that has little content, poor layout, or bad navigation.

  1. Fill in the content of your homepage ("index.html")

  2. Create 2-4 additional web pages (for a total of 3-5) using HTML, and link them to your homepage. Remember to use your storyboard as a guideline for your navigation (interconnection of pages).

  3. Insert graphics and format text on all pages using guidelines in Lessons 1 & 2, plus the Castro book.

Helpful Step
Take a look at the site devoted to Web Pages That Suck before you begin formatting your own pages. This will give you an idea of some HTML features and design choices to avoid. Whatever you do, don't use BLINK, or you'll make your instructor look bad!
