KUNO KODACHI

The "Black Rose," sister of Tatewaki, daughter of the Principal of Furinkan High School, and the rising star of St. Hebereke girls' academy in the martial arts rhythmic gymnastics world.

She is even stranger than her brother, at the age of 16. She is also a very conceited cheater, and, like her brother, very stupid. who wins her matches by default by taking out her opponents "fair and square" before the competition. She would do anything to get what she wants. And what does she want? Saotome Ranma, the love of her life. And the ones standing between them is Tendo Akane, and...Saotome Ranma, the pig-tailed girl.

After a thwarted attack on Akane in her bedroom before their upcoming match, Ranma, chasing P-chan, accidentally knocks her off the dojo roof, then unknowingly rescues her. When she comes to and sees who "saved" her, she falls for Ranma.

She also cannot figure out that the 2 Ranmas are one, despite the efforts of Ranma and Akane.

She usually jumps to conclusions. When Ranma-chan was introduced to her, she said "You wicked girl!Taking my beloved Ranma's name!"

When Ranma-chan told her "Ranma and I are one body and one mind!", she said "What?! you and my darling Ranma are destined to be together?!" Which is, of course, very far from what Ranma was trying to say.

She usually wears her gtmnastics uniform if not her school uniform.

Black roses are her trademark. Sometimes they appear on her clothing, or she holds one between her teeth. Spins her lash-like ribbon in the air, sometimes casting black rose petals all around. She has a villainous laugh, like B-ko (Project A-ko).

Her favorite weapon is the ribbon, but she's apparently skilled with using any gymnastics apparatus as one. She gives bouquets of black roses loaded with exploding powder causing sleep or paralysis.

Notes about the name

She usually calls herself the Black Rose, while her father calls her "Kotchi." Kuno means "9 abilities," and Kodachi means "little long sword"

What else can I say? It's the school for girls which Kuno Kodachi attends. Kodachi's schoolmates pretty much look up to her because of her ability in gymnastics. They also cheat for her.

This is where the martial arts gymnastics tournament, where Saotome Ranma beat Kodachi, took place.

Notes about the name

Jogakuin means girls' academy. 'Hebereke' means "drunk".
