In the first episode, "The Citadel" he states, "Ah, Destane. He was like a father to me," and then Iago later remarks "It's Jafar Junior!". There have been many rumors about Mirage and Jafar being the parents. I
personally believe that if Mirage was the mother, it would have been before she became an incarnate and was just a relatively normal human.
They say that Aladdin and Mozenrath may actually be brothers. I heard that this was planned for The King of Thieves, but scrapped at the last second.
Aladdin did have a brother, I think his name was Kahled,
but he was lost to Mirage. This wasn't the same person.
It's a rumor that Aladdin is Mozenrath's brother. They couldn't get Johnathan Brandis in the movie though, so they had Aladdin find his dad instead.
In "The Citadel" the glove changes color by way of a simple little accident. Artists sometimes get careless.
At one point, Aladdin asks Moze if the Therdac will bite the hand that feeds it. Mozenrath answers "Yes" and holds up his gauntlet! We assume (quite naturally) that the boy is wearing the glove because his hand was bitten. So did they change the role of the glove in later episodes, or was Mozenrath just being shady??
In the last episode of his he goes on about how his body is
getting too old because his gauntlet is slowly taking over. He then forces himself into Aladdin's body because he is younger and more agile but the transformation was not complete (because of Jasmine and Genie interrupting to process). So, technically, he could be immortal in the sense of using others'
bodies. Also, Mozenrath just saying that Aladdin is younger than him probably means he's much older than 20. And what did Mo mean in the Citadel when Aladdin says "You're the ruler of a distant land? Yeah right! You're not much older than me!" Then Mo mutters, "Which is more your problem than mine." Maybe he is immortal? Hmmmmmm....
If Mirage is an incarnate like the other person said, then maybe her son is an incarnate too. It makes sense. But then, if he already had magic "inside him", or whatever, why would he need the Gauntlet?
Mozenrath has a terrible sense of time in Lost City of the Sun. The Sun-down thing was too early!
Once again, the element of daylight ruined it. One minute it's dark, the next it's light...
Well, we do have to fit this in 20 minutes, fellas...
We were talking about Xerxes in the forums. What is he? Somebody said he was a prehistoric animal but all his clan has died out now, and somebody said he was a shapeshifter, because if you look at the beginning of The Secret of Dagger Rock he disguised himself as a fox! I don't know what to believe, all I wanted to know was if he was an eel or a lamprey!
Also from the forums, a poster noticed that Mozenrath has a wrapping around his neck, extending out of his shirt and it is presumably continued down into his outfit. Why? One theory was that Mozenrath the Incarnate simply occupied the dead body of the boy we see as the sorcerer: the handsome young guy we see may not have originally been the appearance of the soul of Mozenrath. The wrappings indicate that the spirit never took the mummification gauze completely off the body... Yes? No?
