CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HIGHER MALE
- The higher Capricorn is impartial, just and precise. He attempts to achieve accuracy, exactness and consistency in all undertakings and fulfills himself through persistence, industry, and endeavor.
- Such an individual succeeds in bringing economy to a kind of perfection, knowing how to be frugal and thrifty without appearing in the least bit mean.
- He will rise through his own effort and personal merit, and although success will normally come late in life for him due to the restricting influences of Saturn, over the years his path will take him steadily upwards.
- In the fully evolved type there exists a fine traditional and historic sense, which often finds outlet in a fascination for anything old or in an interest for past events.
- He could rarely be accused of gambling with his life or indeed with the lives of those for whom he is responsible.
- Decisions are taken carefully, all considerations being duly noted, and he wisely learns from past mistakes.
- A fear of debt or dependency on others may give him a somewhat serious outlook that can, at times, result in deep depression: this is the sign notorious for pessimism and black moods, and in spite of the comfort offered by loved ones, the melancholia can only be lifted by the subject himself when he feels ready to cope with life once more.
- To some extent, external influences will affect his friendships, for one of the vices common to Capricorn is snobbery.
- Contacts may be judged by their usefulness, and he is impressed by rank, wealth or breeding.
- Love affairs intrigue this male, though his interest is not merely confined to his own relationships, but also takes in the affairs of others.
- He is very conscious of the sex difference and can find it difficult to be himself when the opposite sex is around, for he is constantly attempting to project some kind of challenge, provoking many encounters of wit - not always of the most desirable type, as they may be full of innuendo.
- In youth, the Capricorn man is an incorrigible flirt, although in later years, this may change and develop into a strong, protective instinct, sometimes into patronage.
- In general, ambition is the driving force in this subject.
- Striving to remove unpleasantness from his surroundings, he excels in patching up broken friendships, clearing up misunderstandings and smoothing out tangles in family life.
- As a rule, he makes an excellent parent and a reliable husband, if a somewhat grave and serious one.
- Under a facade that tends to be reserved, there lurks a man capable of giving much love - though he does not intend to give it to just anyone; he nees a female who can offer reassurance when life goes against him, who can show him the funnier side of life and who sill understand his driving ambition.
- The character remembers and observes dates of anniversaries, making much of a special occasion or a social reunion, for he is a generous host and popular in this capacity, besides being a delightful guest.
- In advancing years, he is usually looked up to as an authority on matters of dress or deportment, and is consulted on questions of precedence or social procedure.
- He can, in fact, suffer considerably when inadvertently appearing anywhere in unbecoming or unsuitable garments.
- On the surface, Mr. Capricorn may seem to flirt on many social occasions while, in truth, he is attempting to restore his ever-flagging confidence; and this behavior is rarely sex-motivated.
- Generally speaking, his sexual appetites are of the moderate variety; and it is out of character for him to go to extremes.
- Long life can normally be predicted for the Capricorn subject and his most profitable years are often between forty-five and sixty-five.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HIGHER FEMALE
- As a rule, Miss Capricorn will appear to wear a cold face although, like her brother subject, she has much to give, reaching her warmest peak when married.
- Ambition plays an important part in her life; and her eyes are ever on the search for advancement, which may be her husband's, her children's, or her own. So intense is this tendency that there may be sufficient left over for her friends and their families, though her lazy or apathetic fellow man is dealt with in an abrupt, severe manner.
- Her friends can recognize the matchmaker in this female; and she could give unintentional offense by not minding her own business at times, although interference is not intended, for she is activated either by the desire to see everybody happy or by the wish to help ambition reach fruition.
- Despondency is her chief enemy; and this can drag her down for weeks at a time. The only cure may be a change of environment, cheerful society among friends or an excessive dose of love.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LOWER TYPE
- This character has an uncontrollable urge to manipulate, direct, protect, and convert others; and he can soon become notorious as a meddler.
- Ambition is blown out of all proportion; his entire life revolving around it.
- He may make a mercenary marriage in an effort to further himself, and friendships are based on and valued by their immediate usefulness.
- This is a social climber who may drive a devoted wife away by sheer neglect.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
- This type is difficult to classify physically, the most prominent features are a tendency to melancholy, leaden looks, swarthy complexion and sleek, lank, dark hair.
- Many of these subjects are lively and extremely talkative.
- In health matters, the black moods can prove to be the most detrimental hazard, for they can directly react on to the physical well-being; and the Capricorn should adopt some method that will allow him to step outside his problems, in an attempt to curb this weakness.
CAPRICORN MAN tends to have a slim, lively build, short to medium in height; dark, lank hair; a swarthy complexion with round eyes and a slightly worried expression.
CAPRICORN WOMAN tends to have a rather thick-set body; land, rather greasy hair; a long face with heavy features and a leaden, almost melancholic, expression.
