An Alphabetical Listing of Who We Are and What We Do
arianna -- 2 1/2. Silent, assertive youngest
sister of Nia, Frieda, Kecia, and willow. She and willow are biological sisters but were
adopted by their older siblings.
abigail -- 3. Silent older sister of ginger. Found
hiding in one of the closets in our inside house when we drew maps of it.
Allegra -- 17. Laura's whimsical cousin,
confidante, and co-pilot at the front. Occasionally helps The Babysitters, a group of teens
who take care of the kids.
alyssa -- 5. Talkative younger sister of shawn and
Hannah; older sister of penny. Happy, friendly, giving, has strong SP beliefs.
Aurora13 -- Silent younger sister of Aurora17;
older sister of Nona, Deidra, emily, and heidi. Former caretaker of the Cave Dwellers hidden
by Aurora17 until October 2002, when the two Auroras beceme known to us as separate people.
Prone to panic episodes when triggered, and has a long history of being at odds with Aurora17.
Sometimes helps The Babysitters.
 Aurora17 -- Angry oldest sister of Aurora13, Nona,
Deidra, emily, and heidi. Former protector of the Cave Dwellers, gatekeeper, and
"warning bell." Secretive, controlling, manipulative and defiant; prefers to live
in isolation.
baby laura -- Approximately six months. Youngest
sister of Jeannine, laurajean, and lil laura. One of the Lauras, a group who have a close
connection to Laura in their origin.
Big Joe -- 16. Younger brother of Cass; older
brother of Joseph, Christine, and jody. Teen protector. Outgoing, social, "cool."
brooke -- 5. Silent younger sister of Lauranine and
lila; one of the Lauras. Shy and prone to clinical depression; found hidden with Lauranine.
Cass -- 17. Oldest sister of Big Joe, Joseph,
Christine, and jody; one of The Babysitters. When she was 18, she dealt with s*x*ality and
was known as Kissandra.
Charity -- 25. Nurturer of the kids and teens;
supportive of all in the group; has strong SP beliefs.
Christine -- 8 1/2. Joseph's twin. Younger sister
of Cass and Big Joe; older sister of jody. Along with Joseph, aged from 8 to 8 1/2 in
December 2001. Still sometimes wants to be a perfect little girl, but is learning it's okay
to have feelings, especially anger. Used to dislike most men but has worked to be more
accepting of them.
david -- Formerly *ngry 5-year-old now devoted to his
Border Collie, RUFF. Was eventually found to be rose and josie's younger brother; had long ago
been josie's unknown twin until josie aged to six.
Deborah -- 23. Allegra's older sister; formerly the
same age, but not a twin. Reserved and apparently aloof, but deep down, sometimes feels
awkward and lacks self-confidence. When she was 17, she was known as Queen and protected the
group by appearing self-absorbed and alienating outsiders. Is now becoming more self-aware
and considerate.
Deidra (formerly Don't Touch) -- 8. Silent younger
sister of Aurora17, Aurora13, and Nona; older sister of emily and heidi. Protector of the
littles and middles. For a while, stood in front of the cave holding a baseball bat and
wearing catcher's gear. Is close to Nona.
Drew -- female, 23. Main protector. Low-key, cautious,
astutely observant.
emily -- 6 1/2. Silent twin sister of heidi; younger
sister of Aurora17, Aurora13, Nona, and Deidra. Kept hidden by Aurora17 until the time of
the "Aurora split." Is close to Aurora13, but is working to be closer to heidi.
Frieda -- 13 1/2. Silent, introverted younger
sister of Nia; older sister of Kecia, willow, and arianna. Joined The Babysitters after she
began adjusting to being out.
Gideon -- Silent, formless being of unknown age, perceived as
male by the rest of our group. A fierce protector who once posed as an introject/p*rs*c*tor.
Was l*cked up for safety reasons, but secretly had the ability to override this. No longer
seen as a threat to or by the others. Watches over the cave, tunnels, and other dark areas of
and under our land.
ginger -- 18 months. Silent younger sister of abigail;
found hiding in a closet adjacent to the closet in which abigail was found at the same time.
heidi -- 6 1/2. Silent twin sister of emily; younger
sister of Aurora17, Aurora13, Nona, and Deidra. Remained at first with Aurora17 in the
isolated cabin after the "Aurora split," but was later persuaded to come to the
house. Formerly prone to some non-risky forms of SI inside because of her difficulty
expressing anger. Now sees Deidra as a role model.
Hannah -- 10. Younger sister of shawn; older
sister of alyssa and penny. Enjoys pop culture and performing. Was stuck in the role of
bookish student until she learned she didn't need to be a people-pleaser.
jayne-ann -- 14. An adopted street orphan; one
of The Babysitters. Helpful, home-oriented; strong SP beliefs.
Jeannine -- 9. Oldest sister of laurajean, lil
laura and baby laura; one of the Lauras. Supportive, intelligent, articulate, and loves
learning. Was sad and afraid until she found a strong SP identity.
jody -- boy, 4. Youngest brother of Cass, Big Joe,
Joseph, and Christine. Wide-eyed; likes to mimic and explore; fond of animals. Spends much
of his time with david.
Joseph -- 8 1/2. Christine's twin. Younger brother
of Cass and Big Joe; older brother of jody. Along with Christine, aged from 8 to 8 1/2 in
December 2001. Fun-loving, adventurous, likes eating, being loud, and pretending.
josie -- 6. Middle sibling between rose and david. Active,
curious, analytical, often unintentionally humorous; helps others deal with *ng*r.
Kecia -- 10 1/2. Younger sister of Nia and Frieda; older
sister of arianna and willow. Was angry and resenful but is learning to express her feelings
and opinions appropriately (if bluntly). Dislikes Aurora17.
Laura -- 17 1/2. Cynical, wisecracking frontperson;
prone to clinical depression. Learning to come to terms with her feelings. Usually
accompanied by Allegra.
laurajean -- 7. Younger sister of Jeannine and older
sister of lil laura and baby laura; one of the Lauras. Sweet, innocent, and happy. Was kept
safe by Laura in laurajean's meadow, a part of our soothing space, but now lives in the house.
Lauranine -- 9. Older sister of brooke and lila;
one of the Lauras. Prone to clinical depression; interested in politics and current issues.
Was found l*cked up in the dark with brooke.
~Light~ (formerly Sp*r*t) -- Silent, formless inner
guide perceived as female by the rest of our group.
lila -- 7. Silent middle sister between Lauranine and
brooke; one of the Lauras. Prone to clinical anxiety. Used to live deep inside our safe cave
protected by Gideon, ~Light~, and two Rottweilers. Currently only needs her sisters or the
two dogs to feel safe.
lil laura -- 2. Younger sister of Jeannine and
laurajean and older sister of baby laura; one of the Lauras. Loves hugs and thinks of Laura
as her mother. 
Mary -- 23. Counselor, researcher. Pragmatic. Charity's
cousin and close friend.
nell -- 3. Sweet and good. An orphan adopted by the
group.
 Nia
-- about 16 1/2. Reclusive, tr**matized older sister of Frieda, Kecia, willow, and arianna.
For a long titme, was overed from head to toe in skin-tight, medium-blue fabric with no
visible openings. Briefly showed her face to us in November 2003 before retreating to her
room.
Nona -- 11. Silent, introspective younger sister
of Aurora17 and Aurora13; older sister of Deidra, emily, and heidi. Originally insisted on
remaining inside the brick building with Gideon, and took over guarding him when Twelve
stopped. Posed as a boy until February 2001, when the bigs suspected her to be a girl and
she finally admitted it. Now helps protect the perimeter of our land. Is close to Aurora13.
penny -- 3. Silent youngest sister of shawn, Hannah,
and alyssa. Observant; selective in whom she trusts. Playful with those she is close to.
Rarely talks, but when she does, refers to herself by name in the third person. Usually
found with alyssa or with the two-to-three-year-olds.
Rachel -- 23. Laura's older sister; originally the same
age, though not a twin. Calm and logical, our de facto supervisor, organizer and day-to-day
administrator.
Reckless -- 16. Older sister of Twelve; loud,
opinionated and blunt. The side of Laura that was never allowed to have fun. Used to taunt
Laura from her hangout on top of the brick building. Now learning to channel her energy
constructively as a protector.
rose -- 15. Older sister of josie and david; has a close
connection to ~Light~. A physical and SP healer who gathers the negative energy of our p*in
and transforms it into strength and positive energy. Also takes turns with The Babysitters
in the nursery. In January 2002 we learned that she had aged from 13 to 15 over an unknown
period of time.
shawn -- 16. Oldest sister of Hannah, alyssa,
and penny; one of The Babysitters. Artistic and supportive, strong SP beliefs.
Sophie -- 8. Val's silent younger sister.
Waited in the basement of the brick building before coming out during a T session on
9/13/00. Usually found with her Beagle, Kipper.
Twelve -- Reckless' younger sister. Rebellious
loner learning not to live her life around being *ngry. Wants to channel her anger through
her art, but is frustrated that we don't have enough artistic ability on the outside.
Val -- A "Valley Girl," 14. Sophie's intense
older sister; one of The Babysitters.
willow -- 5 1/2. Silent, sensitive younger sister
of Nia, Frieda, and Kecia; older sister of arianna. She and arianna are biological sisters
but were adopted by their older siblings.
Those We Remember
(names hidden for privacy)
******** -- Same age as body. Handled routine day-to-day functions. Flew away
into the sky on March 15, 1998 and then dissipated into several other membgrs of the group,
most notably Rachel and Jeannine.
****** -- Same age as body. Wes group administrator for a while.
Gradually merged with ~Light~ until the blend became finaoized on July 14, 2000.
